Nestled on the fringes of the Lake District and the historic, quaint town of Kendal, Carus Green Golf Club provides you with the perfect setting for your Wedding Day. Whilst we are large enough to feel grand, we aim to provide an environment that is also intimate and relaxed. Our team of chefs use only the best seasonal and local produce, so that our Wedding Breakfast menus offer endless possibilities – from simple classics to luxurious combinations. We have a variety of onsite accommodation, from 17 rooms within our lodge houses to the Stunning Penthouse Apartment and Carus House. The wedding of our dreams The wedding of our dreams
Well you better sit down with a brew for this one as it might take a while 😂 4 years ago we decided it was time to get married and after a few discussions Carus Green was chosen as it’s one of our fave places Little did we know that we were gonna ride a storm to get there eventually …… Yep like many covid put stop to our first wedding date in 2020 Then again in 2021 and with this we also saw quite a few “wedding coordinators “ at our venue due to the current climate /employment situation Now I’m not gonna lie at first it filled me with dread but when they introduced their New one to us a few years back I just knew we were in safe hands 💕 As someone who is in the wedding industry I know how hard it is finding the right people to have around you and be involved in your day I’ve seen so many horror stories 🙈 I Knew what I wanted and do you know what ….we got it …. In steps Margarita Mitchell Someone who not only had experience in weddings but I also knew from years back 💕 I was totally at ease now and knew she would help us have the wedding of our dreams Many emails were sent between us Many meet ups ,wines and coffees. With her wealth of experience she is fully understanding of any ideas and likes we suggested And was quick to accommodate any way of achieving any wish we had for the day I don’t think she has ever said No to us on absolutely anything we asked or requested … Maybe she should of said No when I kept asking for fizz to stop me shaking 😂😂#suchalightweight She stayed late for us to have our tasting menu …. Called us regular to make sure on final details and unbeknown to me helped gaz surprise me with our Aussie guests arriving for the wedding and ensuring I didn’t know a thing until 6pm the night before ( never ever had a secret like this been kept from me as I’m way to nosey) She made sure it all ran smoothly and exactly how we had wanted and planned 💕 The venue was perfect… As gaz and many of the guests are keen golfers it was just ideal for us the lads even played golf on the Sunday while us ladies relaxed in the hot tub at Carus house We took advantage of Carus house from Friday to Monday , and many guests used the lodges Carus house is the most amazing house and had everything u need it one place Some of the Bridesmaids and their partners and new baby all settled in well with such luxury The glass front across the golf course is breathtaking and very relaxing …we got lots of waves from the golfers too 😂 Food ….perfect We gave our guests a choice of two and we also asked for some extra bits to be included ( not a problem) Staff on the day were attentive and polite at all times and we also received a bottle of fizz off Graham on the evening (owner) which was so lovely of him … It was so nice to see the venue so full in the evening and the dance floor bursting with colour and movement right up till last orders at 12.45 Which of course with the incredible resident DJ Craig Howarth on the decks you’d expect nothing else ( another friend of ours who has been incredible) Full …..yep think that was cause I had invited most of the town by the time the wedding actually happened 😂 But again …this wasn’t a problem …the staff loved to see it like this again after the quietness of the last few years 💕 Of course Mags and staff grabbing extra seats for those who needed them not an issue and could be seen floating round the venue keeping it tidy while we all partied Food option for evening was bacon or sausage butties with chips and although I didn’t actually have any as was soooooo full from the wedding breakfast, everyone enjoyed this and said it was a great idea after such a big meal in the afternoon.There was a constant flow of these to be seen coming from the kitchen and enjoyed.. Shout out to Nathan the bar manager who assisted us in getting the drinks we knew our guests loved for the weekend and even got Gaz favourite ale on tap for the day 👍🏻 And of course the rest of the staff who were great Accommodation team were amazing too Helping us accommodate everyone ( over the four years since booking ) Again nothing was a problem, and they were also in on the Aussies arriving and needing accommodation and went above and beyond with their team to make sure it was all ready for us 💕 Now back to Mags (margarita) This women is just incredible… Working very long hours to enable the bride & groom get the day they wanted 💕 There are no words that I can ever speak that will ever express our gratitude for all she did for us ….. Carus Green was absolutely fantasticCarus Green was absolutely fantastic
We had our wedding a couple of weeks ago at Carus Green, and I can honestly say it was absolutely amazing. Everything on the lead up to the wedding was totally stress free, and that was all down to Margarita the general manager (who is fabulous) Nothing was too much trouble, I felt like I could go to her with any questions or ideas, and I was replied to within a day or two, which made it really easy to organise things. The actual venue itself is stunning, and really is more than just a golf club. The views from the top room are gorgeous, it’s spacious and bright with big windows too. The accommodation is modern, clean and homely. It was great for natural light whilst we had our make up done, looking out to the hills. It feels very special staying here for such an important occasion! Our day was perfect, the food and drinks, the staff, the decor, the setting. We even got sunshine, which made going out on the course for our photos so lovely! All in all Carus Green was absolutely fantastic, and I would 100% recommended it for a wedding or function! Truly Stunning VenueTruly Stunning Venue
Well where do we begin! Carus Green, what a truly stunning venue to hold our wedding at. We were captured by the huge glass windows and stunning balcony’s to admire the view from. The venue was perfect as we wanted all our guests to stay onsite for the full weekend of our wedding, so we could continue the wedding celebrations from Friday to Monday. And it didn’t disappoint. The accommodation on site is 5 star. Iv never seen accommodation so clean and modern. So cosy and homely at the same time. The sofas in the townhouses are bigger than our own home! Utterly amazing. Then there’s our amazing wedding Coordinator Margarita! She is the best there is! Nothing was to much hassle for her. She listened to everything we wanted and made our dream wedding come true. When ever we phoned for a quick chat or a question or issue, she would fix it straight away and make us laugh throughout. Margarita is such a credit to Carus Green, she deserves a medal! Myself and Scott couldn’t of wished for anything Better . We turned up on the Friday of our wedding weekend stuck without a van to get supplies across but Margarita made sure we had a van to use. She solved all our issues straight away and we can’t thank her enough. Also a huge thank you to the accommodation team who where also such a big part of our wedding. They sorted out all the houses for us on site and were patient with us when trying to sort all our guests out. Even on the wedding weekend rallying round to help out with our wedding. They are all superstars. The team became part of our friends for our wedding and we do miss them already! Such a good laugh and always ready for a chat. They work super hard to make sure you have the best wedding possible. We would 100% recommend staying at Carus Green and booking it for your wedding. You definitely won’t be disappointed. We have planned to come back for our 1 year wedding anniversary and stay onsite. It’s truly spectacular and we miss it already! You especially were so unbelievably accommodating and helpful in the run up to our day and on the day itself you worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. The waiting on and bar staff were brilliant and we had lots of comments on how lovely the food and service was. Lots of our guests hadn't been to Carus before and said what a lovely place it was. The second most important step in your wedding planning after settling on the date is to find a venue that you are in tune with and that caters to your needs. We found Carus Green in Kendal– truly amazing venue. We have done a lot of research about the venues in and around Lancashire area but none of them compared with the stunning views, the package you have offered and the service you have delivered. Carus- you made it happen for us and everything was perfect! We have booked our wedding 2 years ago when the whole Covid-19 situation was escalating and the venue had some tough times with hospitality sector crumbling, so there were some staff shortages and 2 wedding co-ordinator changes, but we never felt that our wedding would be postponed or that we would not be looked after. The package that we went for was inclusive and great value for money. All staff at Carus were welcoming, professional and really friendly. Margarita who is the functions manager went above and beyond to make sure that everything runs smoothly. I did not have to chase anyone or anything to be done, they have liaised with my other suppliers and the whole operation was seamless. The food, the evening entertainment, the accommodation was excellent. All of our guests were commenting on what an absolute gem the venue is. Thank you Lisa, Shelley, Margarita and the rest of the team for such an unforgettable day. This is an amazing venue for a wedding. The views are magnificent, the food was superb and the staff are friendly, helpfull and did an amazing job in arranging everything. The onsite accommodation is brilliant. What a fantastic weekend we have had for our daughters wedding.This is an amazing venue for a wedding.
