- TTom08/08/2023Enjoyable time Enjoyable timeNipped in here as we were staying locally. The decor is really nice, and the staff are very friendly. The food selection is good too. The outdoor area has a really interesting layout with lots of covered 'pods' which I imagine is excellent in the summer for al fresco dining and drinking. - AAileen08/08/2023Excellent. Excellent.My husband and I spent six, very enjoyable, nights at this hotel. On arrival we had a nice welcome from a staff member who assured us that we would be well looked after and we were. The room we had was within the main building, it had a very comfortable bed with nice crisp white bedding, there were large white fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and we will have to mention the Nespresso machine for making that early morning coffee. Breakfast choice was excellentMy husband and I spent six, very enjoyable, nights at this hotel. On arrival we had a nice welcome from a staff member who assured us that we would be well looked after and we were. We flew in from Denver and got to the hotel early, Charlotte was wonderful and did all the she could to make sure we were comfortable and got our room ready early and with a smile and kindness hard to find these days. Charlotte continued to be willing to do anything for us and the rest of the staff was incredibly kind. The property is charming and so wonderfully decorated and creates a feeling like you are home, the food and drinks were delicious. From start to finish our stay here was amazing! We flew in from Denver and got to the hotel early, Charlotte was wonderful and did all the she could to make sure we were comfortable and got our room ready early and with a smile and kindness hard to find these days. Old World Charm, with warmth from log burners, little alcoves, large Inn, great food, friendly attentive staff. Just off A34 so great for a relaxing stop-off in your journey. The restaurant serves good quality hot meals that are reasonably priced along with a comfortable bar/lounge area.
