Lovely accommodation, great food, lovely nearby cycling on the Tissington Trail and Carsington Water, close to Dovedale for a ramble and a nice walk through the old Railway tunnel to Ashbourne and the shops.We really like it here. Everything from the interior design, to the customer service during dinner to the small little touches inside the room (music, personalised messages, plant a pencil) was soooo down to the detail. You don’t need to ask for anything they have already thought about it, and sorted it for you. Wonderful, can’t wait to travel there again.What a wonderful experience, wish I could stay here forever. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and happy to help with things like extra snacks, bubble bath for the room and giving local recommendations. Getting a massage is a MUST! It was the best I have had in months. Our room was massive and had a big bath which could fit us both in (not easy as I'm 5'10 and my partner 6'6). The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went out if their way to make the weekend special. It really is a dream location with the most amazing views. The room we had was lovely and they even popped an extra bed for our toddler and a travel cot for our baby in. The food was definitely some of the best I've had. As a vegetarian quite often the food you get is a bit generic but the vegetarian option was so flavoursome!We were at a wedding this weekend and it was phenomenal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went out if their way to make the weekend special. It really is a dream location with the most amazing views. All our guests commented on how they had been to several weddings bit never one as beautiful as Callow. The setting and attention to detail to every second of the day was incredible. A third of the party were children and they quite happily ran round the place safely and we were not made to feel they were a nuisance. The staff were so friendly and helpful and guided us through everything. Nothing felt like it was too much trouble. We took some of our own decor and they happily put these up for us. The food was also lovely and there was plenty of it. It was our perfect wedding!We hired the venue for the weekend and we and our guests absolutely loved everything! Communication before the wedding was excellent. Every member of the team did everything possible to ensure our comfort and to ensure our Wedding Day was perfect in every way. Location idyllic. We’ve had so many comments on how much everyone attending enjoyed themselves. Having the opportunity for all of the key guests to stay overnight and have breakfast together in the morning was also a huge bonus for us.
