- DDuncan & Izzy11/02/2022Fantastic!Fantastic!We held a celebration at Butchers' Hall for our civil partnership for around 100 people and had a fantastic event. The Bovingdons team were incredibly helpful throughout the planning and Lauren dealt with all of our requests and changes promptly. The food was amazing, with many compliments from the guests, particularly on the canapes, the steak main and the cheese course. The Bovingdons wine list was extensive but we were able to provide our own wine by paying a corkage charge, which was easy to arrange and gave us a lot more options. The service throughout the night was fantastic, with attentive waiting staff looking after various requests from guests. Bernard who leads the team of waiting staff is a great host and looked after us incredibly well! The Butchers' Hall is a brilliant venue in the heart of the City of London and all of our guests commented on the fantastic atmosphere at the pre-dinner drinks and during and after the meal. Elliott, the Facilities Manager at the Hall helped us manage the evening and arrange speeches after dinner. We were able to choose the music and lighting for the Great Hall and this created a relaxed atmosphere all evening, meaning some people forgot they needed to leave the Hall at midnight! Overall, we would wholeheartedly recommend Bovingdons and the Butchers' Hall for your event. Lauren, Bernard and the rest of the Bovingdons team will look after you superbly and the Butchers' Hall is a phenomenal space for lots of different functions. The Chef did an amazing job, the whole Menu really came together and the wines chosen were a great compliment.
