- JJenna and Paul Fogg27/01/2020Dream wedding Dream weddingI don’t know where to start! What an amazing day. Even 7 years later my guests are still talking about how amazing our wedding day was. The staff at the castle were amazing, if it wasn’t for them the day wouldn’t of been as special. The day run so smoothly. We had a lot of children at the castle and they just let us take over. It was like home from home. As for the venue absolutely stunning! Bridal suite was amazing (huge!) Food was fantastic. We would highly recommend Broomhall Castle. I don’t know where to start! What an amazing day. Even 7 years later my guests are still talking about how amazing our wedding day was. The staff at the castle were amazing, if it wasn’t for them the day wouldn’t of been as special. The day run so smoothly. We had a lot of children at the castle and they just let us take over. We had a small wedding, and the front room we used was gorgeous and just right for the size of our group. The bedrooms were so spacious and comfortable, and the food was amazing. Everyone had an unforgettable time, with plenty of space to sit and talk, or drink and dance. Photos outside were gorgeous against the castle and the trees, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly and we had all that we needed. My only regret is that we didn’t test the sound system ahead of time. We brought a phone with a playlist for the reception but the speakers weren’t as loud as I’d have liked; they seemed quite quiet for the space to be honest, but this was 7 years ago now so I imagine they’ve got more options, and to be fair I should’ve asked to test it out first. Everyone was lovely and their recommended piper was superb. I would do it all again! It’s a beautiful setting and was so wonderful to have everything in one venue, as well as a comfortable place to stay the night before and after. We loved the friendly staff , we were able to make the hotel our home for the week , even displayed our photos all over the lounge ! We loved that there were no hidden costs , we could budget before visiting . The staff were really flexible to our needs , we had a pancake completion the night before the wedding ( shrove Tuesday ) the night after the wedding we ordered a carry out for all the guests and sat in the bar screening the photos on the wall . Everyone was so relaxed and accommodating . It was such a great experience and we have been back for our wedding anniversary where again they were so helpful and we set up a family meal in the bar area so it was intimate.
