My wife and I had our wedding reception at Brook Farm at the end of March 2022. It was the most special of days at the most stunning of venues. I can only think of positive things to say about Brook Farm, and I need not say too much about it, although I will, as the pictures speak for themselves!
We first visited Brook Farm in 2021 when we were deciding on a venue for our big day and from the moment we pulled up in the car, our decision was made. Brook Farm was our number one choice! As we drove down the path, passed the pheasants that reside close by, the wonderful, tall trees revealed themselves first, followed by the calm waters of the lake and the large plot of land big enough for a large tent for a big celebration.
The lake is a real selling point. It has a walkway leading to an island in the middle, perfect for gathering guests for canapes and drinks. The water provides stunning reflections that are a photographer's dream, as is the sun setting as the light glimmers through the trees. As day turns to night, the festoon lighting that adorns the tall trees light up the place and accentuates the beauty of the natural surroundings. We are so pleased with our photos because Brook Farm provides so many romantic settings throughout the day.
With so much to consider when planning a wedding it's helpful to have a venue who know what they are doing and can support you. Luckily, Brook Farm has this in Laura. Laura was so good with us from start to finish and always had a big smile whenever we saw her. She was so welcoming when we first met her and once we had confirmed the venue, she was attentive and organised and answered our many questions with no fuss. We communicated regularly in the run up to the big day and she was very helpful in pointing things out that we may have forgotten about. She liaised with all our suppliers, revealing lots of organisational stress and together with her team on the day, made everything run smoothly. We can't thank her and her team enough!
The venue is remote enough to ensure that your special day is completely private, but it is also a really accessible destination for anyone travelling by car or train. We were blessed to have a warm, sunny day with blue skies at the end of March and this really did bring out the best in Brook Farm, we couldn't have asked for more.
