Family owned and operated since 2005. Located on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire the West Retford Hotel is the ideal venue for your wedding!
Situated in the heart of Retford town, we are ideally located as we are within walking distance for your friends and family from the local area. We also have 63 spacious bedrooms for your guests travelling from further afield. Our beautiful Georgian style bridal suite with a separate lounge area, complete with a luxury 4 poster bed and spacious bathroom can be booked for your wedding night which includes complimentary couples dressing gowns with Champagne breakfast the following morning to complete your wedding celebrations!
The hotel offers 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens which can only be truly appreciated in person, with our hidden pathways, sunken garden, our stunning fountain and our ornate wedding pagoda, making it the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs, so the memories of your special day can last a lifetime.

From start to finish these guys really looked after us from the wedding planners we met from our first meetings to Audrey and Natalie leading us through our day nothing was too much trouble. And the photos have given us some beautiful photos to treasure forever! There's no wonder they win award after award, year after year, so thank you ladies you were amazing.Would like to thank all the staff of the West Retford for a truly unforgettable day, all our guests said it was the best day ever. We had a few slight hiccups with mistakes from other people for dressing the wedding but the staff at the west Retford hotel did everything to make sure that this did not ruin our day and still made sure it was perfect! We went for the afternoon tea as we could not make our minds up for the hot meals and we made the perfect choice. It was fantastic, the quality was exceptional and everyone thought the same. There was so much food and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend this choice you will not be disappointed. All the staff were more than helpful right from the pre wedding preparations to selecting favourite tunes at the end of the evening. Great compliments about the food. I really like that you have room to spread out whether it is outdoors or the large indoor facilities. Jessica the wedding planner at the hotel was great at keeping us on track. Everything was planned and prepared so well that all you need to do is to turn up in the white dress. They help so much. Her tell you where to go and what to do on what time which is very helpful if you’re getting married for a first time and you panic as you don’t know what to do. Best experience ever. I wish I could get married there every day!! Hotel itself look stunning and staff go are amazing. Food was amazing. They should receive 1000 starts out of 10! If you want wedding from your dreams- this is your venue and the team. We got married there last year. Nothing was too much trouble and the photos from the grounds are amazing. It was Perfect and wanted to do it all over again .. chefs catered for my needs being a diabetic bride and felt I didn't have to keep asking if food and beverages where suger free ect which made it 1 less thing to feel anxious about ..
