Whether it is traditional, formal, modern, themed or an extra celebration after a Wedding abroad, our team will assist you every step of the way, making your dream wedding celebration a reality.
Set in the picturesque Peak District surrounded by beautiful countryside, along with gardens and patios for you and guests to enjoy.
Our purpose built function suite offers a lovely room to personalise and create into your own very special setting and in the evening it transforms into a great room for continuing your celebrations with guests both inside and outside! The hotel offers room to suit all your guests with quiet lounge areas, play areas for the children, lawns and patios all open for your guests to enjoy.
We have a selection of bedrooms for your guests to stay overnight and offer special deals for two night stays. The Beresford Suite is the bridal suite included in most of our packages and offers plenty of space to get ready with your bridesmaids, hair dressers etc. and then after your days celebration a lovely room in which to relax and unwind.
Our chef's have years of experience in creating menu's to suit every taste and budget and although our brochures offer a wide variety of dishes, we are more than happy to discuss individual choices of menu.
We have a range of preferred suppliers that we recommend including hair and make up artists, musical and alternative entertainment, wedding cars, flowers, bakers, stationery and table accessories. If you need anything for your wedding, we will source it for you, it is all part of the service!
We are very personal in our approach and you will find that by the big day, we have got to know you and your family, your likes and dislikes and we will do all in our power to assure your day is very special and memorable, going beyond your expectations.

The prices of the packages were lower than other venues we looked at and included a lot more in the price. This made it more affordable for us and we had the extra bonus of such a gorgeous venue! All the staff at Bentley Brook went above and beyond for us with the planning of our special day and on our wedding day. Any issues or ideas we had, Beth, Alison, Paul and the team did everything they could to create the wedding of our dreams. They couldn't do enough for us and all our guests, they were all down to Earth and helped wherever they could. They were so attentive and on it all day taking all the stress and worry from us. Most of the venue had been refurbished/decorated before our wedding (Dovedale suite, wedding garden, bridal suite), which made them look even more amazing! We can't thank all at The Bentley Brook Inn enough for all that they did for us and for making our wedding day perfect! - LLisa & Jessica29/04/2024Beyond what we ever thought was possibleBeyond what we ever thought was possibleI honestly don’t even know where to start in writing this…I have deliberated for a few months now about how to express our gratitude sufficiently having had our wedding at the Bentley Brook in December, because I truly do not believe that words will ever be able to express how thankful we are. Everybody has an idea of what they would like when it comes to their wedding venue and like many others my future wife and I viewed numerous a place before viewing a little further afield and finding the Bentley Brook. The venues we had viewed previously ticked some boxes but not others and frankly just didn’t give either of us ‘the feels.’ When we arrived at the Bentley Brook though for our viewing that changed. This was not only the venue that we had been missing but also the people involved were what we were missing too. Wendy showed us around, spoke with us about all the different packages and options available to us and answered any questions that we had. We didn’t feel rushed or pressured, she spent as long as we needed making sure that we went away with all the details that we needed to make our decision. That being said our decision was already made as soon as we arrived. For the first time we walked into a venue and instantly could picture ourselves getting married there. On the lead up to the wedding we attended a further couple of times to iron out the details along with attending a wedding open day to speak with suppliers and visiting to see the Dovedale Suite set up too. Each time we took advantage of staying for a drink and a bite to eat in the pub/restaurant and each time we did it just continued to cement to us that we had made the right decision. The actual booking of both the wedding and the hotel accommodation for our guests was far from stressful and the communication from the staff throughout the whole process made everything so easy. Our wedding was on the Saturday and we arrived on the Friday along with our closest of friends and family. My wife and I set up our little details in the ceremony room with the help of Wendy before then enjoying a meal with our guests in a separate room. Most guests had travelled from distance and were going to have a bite to eat when they arrived so the staff co-ordinated this allowing us to all eat together before retiring to our individual rooms. In terms of accommodation every one of our guests commented on how happy they were with their rooms and how clean they were. The added bonus was also that some rooms were also dog friendly meaning our guest didn’t have to worry about their furry family members being left at home. The day of our wedding was beyond what we had ever imagined. No request was too big or too hard and we cannot thank the staff at the Bentley Brook enough. As we were too brides, the logistics of getting us both down the aisle without seeing one another (or our guests seeing us too) and from two different rooms was I imagine a wedding planners nightmare but it was seamless. We had breakfasts delivered to our respective rooms whilst we got ready and our guests enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant. After getting ready Wendy had then meticulously planned who was going to be where and when which meant that we got to exactly where we needed to be at the right times and without seeing one another. The ceremony room was magical and looked even more perfect than we imaged. The added subtle touch of Christmas really added to our winter wedding but without taking it away from our theme and colours. The transition between rooms etc was seamless and the set up for the wedding breakfast was equally as stunning. Whilst the room was being turned around our guests were catered for in other areas but still separate to the guests in the pub area meaning that the exclusivity of the venue was never lost. The wedding breakfast was beautiful with each of our courses coming out promptly and efficiently and each dietary requirement attended to with absolutely no fuss. A couple of our guests also had their own additional, individual requests during the wedding breakfast and this was tended to as if it was planned. My now wife and I were able to sit back and relax whilst everything was tended to without an ounce of stress. In the evening we opted for the resident DJ miles and our guests had an amazing time. Miles got all of our requests in and it felt like a real celebration with the dance floor occupied all evening. Our family and friends have all genuinely spoke of how much of a good time they had, how beautiful the venue was but also specifically how helpful and friendly the staff were. I have to give special mention to Emma in terms of the communication and planning on the lead up to our wedding, Holly on the day who was like the ultimate hype woman, we had a lot of laughs with and who felt like another friend by the end of the weekend and of course Joe and Wendy. I cannot thank you enough, if we caused you stress, you certainly didn’t show it, you made both Jess and I feel incredibly special, our guests too and your staff are a credit to you also. As a self-confessed perfectionist, I came into this constantly reminding myself that not everything would go to plan and there will always be the odd hiccup but I hand on heart can say that not one detail was missed. The attentiveness from all of the staff meant that even the fine grain details were done perfectly. I sat the following day wondering just how they had managed to get everything so right, as everything was on point. The Bentley Brook itself is a beautiful venue with space both inside and out that creates the perfect wedding backdrop. Our wedding photographs are absolutely stunning thanks to the incredible venue and even more beautiful views over the Peak District. We cannot wait to come back for our anniversary, but I am sure we will be visiting you before that for some gorgeous food. We got Married here in June and our day was everything we ever imagined. Wendy and the team were amazing from the start. Their support, communication and help in the months running up to our date was faultless. They listened and accommodated to everything we asked and on the wedding day they worked so hard to make everything perfect. The venue is stunning and we were lucky enough with the weather to have our ceremony outdoors. Every staff member there made us feel special. They were attentive, caring and fun and happy. The food was incredible and every member of our wedding party reported back to us that they were stuffed and really pleased with their meals. We had guests from all generations and everyone had a fantastic day. The Beresford suite was a beautiful, spacious room and breakfast with our guests in the morning was a perfect ending to our time there. If given the choice again we would choose to get married here every single time. We cannot praise the Bentley Brook Inn and all their staff enough. Wendy and all the team at the Bentley Brook went above and beyond from the initial viewing of the venue, right through to the day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and if there were any problems we certainly weren't aware of them. All of the staff were fantastic and guided us through the day step by step. It was the most magical day and was everything and more than what we expected. We loved it so much we just want to do it again. There is nothing we would change. We paid for their winter wedding package with a few upgrades. We hired the hotel rooms out the day before and after and can’t fault the hotel service/food. Miles the DJ who was included in the package was great and was happy to use the songs we wanted. The staff at the venue were amazing and no question I had was too small or silly. I had so many compliments on how smoothly the day went and it was 99% due to how the staff organised the day. Absolutely gorgeous venue too and amazing food on the day - we had canapés instead of starters, a Sunday dinner and a hog roast in the evening which went down great. Since the day I have had so many people tell me it was the best wedding venue they’ve been to. Thank you all. 100% recommend this venue to any bride & grooms to be. The only thing that went wrong was the song played as we walked down the aisle - unfortunately we picked a love song and it was a breakup song that was played! But we thought it was funny and it took nothing away. We used a wedding venue decorator instead of using the supplies from Bentley brook however we did use their chair sashes and the venue itself doesn’t really need anything added to it anyway as it’s so beautiful.
