Barn Drift, a well established award-winning, 5 star luxurious and elegant conversion of a spacious 18th century barn in the middle of private land. The house has uninterrupted views of the sea, Glaven Valley and the stunning Cley marshes. From the expansive private gardens Blakeney Point and its sand dunes can also be seen. Barn Drift is the perfect place for a tailored to you unforgettable wedding with friends and family. You create your own wedding experience from scratch using this quintessential bespoke venue as your unique and aw-inspiring backdrop. We are delighted to be fully licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies and we really do offer a blank canvas, allowing you to have what you want in one of the most beautiful places on the English coast. Our unique, unspoilt 1940's aircraft Hanger, just a few yards from the house, looking out to sea is now licensed as well. We have also just completed building a beautiful dining room, over 15 meters long and overlooking the garden, with glass doors opening up the entire 15 meter length of the room.

The venue looked absolutely gorgeous even without any decoration and it was also a wonderful place for us and our friends and family to stay. Alice was exceptionally helpful all year and we owe her a great deal of thanks! The hangar was wonderful for our wedding reception and felt really atmospheric against the backdrop of the sea. So many happy memories made. We got married this September in Barn Drift and it was so perfect. The venue looked absolutely gorgeous even without any decoration and it was also a wonderful place for us and our friends and family to stay. It is well protected from the elements and with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Waking up to the sound of nothing but bird song along with the breathtaking views over the marshes to the sea was nothing short of divine. Would highly recommend to those wanting a romantic and cosy escape from busy and noisy lives. Recently spent the weekend at Barn Drift celebrating a big birthday. I slept in the new and oh so enchanting farm trailer. It is well protected from the elements and with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Waking up to the sound of nothing but bird song along with the breathtaking views over the marshes to the sea was nothing short of divine. So much space, incredibly comfortable and Alice couldn’t have been more helpful. Everything we could possibly need was in the house plus luxuries like fresh, garden flowers in every bedroom and pots of hyacinths in the main sitting room that smelled delicious. The location of the Barn is perfect! Secluded with stunning views of the sea, but close enough to the lovely seaside towns, filled with pretty shops and wonderful pubs. Barn Drift is everything you could want and more! Cosy up by the fire place, walk on the pebbled beaches, dine in the scenic dining room, bathe in baths made for royalty… It truly is a place of idyll and tranquility. Heaven on earth! Each wedding held at Barn Drift has been very different and equally special! We have felt extremely honoured to be a small part in each families special moment and love nothing more than guests returning for other events and holidays.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Start by picturing your perfect wedding day from the moment you first open your eyes in the morning ~ right up until bed time. Make lists and delegate! Friends and family are always delighted to help.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
So many! But I always enjoy each family's own creativity brought to Barn Drift - sometimes with masses of home made props (golden pineapples once!) and sometimes just a few wild flowers in jam jars to add to the already dreamy Barn Drift.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
All! The natural light is amazing and North, South, East and West offer varied and gorgeous settings for fabulous shots. The sea through the trees, the valley, the fields stretching up to pine trees, the marsh.... you've really got to see it to believe it.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes, several but we would never ever divulge names. The house is extremely private ~ so ideal!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Smoked Crayfish tails from the Cley Smoke house dipped in Cley Forge, Picnic Faire mayo - yum
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Red wine, always sleep so well after a glass.
