Balvonie House is an ultra-exclusive, private-hire luxury mansion house located in Skelmorlie, North Ayrshire, offering a bespoke and deeply intimate setting for Scottish weddings. Perched on a hillside less than an hour from Glasgow Airport, this historic Arts and Crafts/Tudor-style property provides panoramic, uninterrupted views over the Firth of Clyde and the River Clyde. It functions less like a commercial venue and more like an upscale, private residential estate for an extraordinary weekend-long wedding experience.

Couples gain complete, exclusive use of the entire mansion and its 7 acres of private, gated grounds. Unlike traditional wedding hotels, there are no overlapping events or public guests, ensuring total intimacy for the wedding party.

Balvonie House transforms a single wedding day into a multi-day communal celebration by providing luxury boutique accommodation for up to 28 guests. Each bedroom features bespoke colour themes and designer touches. This includes the premier Empress Suite, which is styled with an enormous Emperor-sized bed and a unique Bridal Dressing Room, alongside multiple en-suite rooms offering coastal views. A ground floor bedroom creates an accessible space for anyone with mobility issues.

Bespoke Freedom (No Wedding Premium)

We charge no hidden wedding premium. The house is fully equipped with high-quality chairs, crockery, cutlery, and linens at no extra cost. We have a flexible booking philosophy. Couples retain full creative control over their day, either allowing us to craft their perfect day or allowing them to bring in their preferred independent suppliers to craft a fully customised celebration.
