Description

We know that your wedding will take time to get right so you have exclusive use of the site from 8am Friday giving you all the time you need to set up, to 1pm Sunday. We also allow for pickups of hired equipment until midday on Monday. To keep things spacious and relaxed we only have one wedding per week from 1st April to 31st October. There is a choice of four fantastic locations, should you wish to have a Civil Ceremony here, including under the pagoda in our lovely barn garden. Plus a beautiful studio barn should it rain. We can suggest some great local suppliers but you are free to use whoever you like including catering. The party and dining spaces available are: The large barn and barn garden, the milking barn with bar (no corkage charges), an equipped kitchen, the large courtyard, rear lawns overlooking Fonthill lake, two stylish WC's plus a the parking field. The main oak floored barn will seat 110 at round tables, and 150 with trestle tables in banqueting style. Also included are tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception, haybales and firepits, milk churns etc. We also have a beautiful two bedroom lodge on the property which overlooks the lake, perfect for brides and bridesmaids, and of course the couple!

We are a family run business, Ralph and I have been married for 27 years and have bought 3 children up here! Ashley Wood Farm is a remarkable place set in 10,000 acres on the Fonthill Estate, utterly peaceful and beautiful with amazing views. We love welcoming couples and their families here and can be on hand to help you, or completely out of your way. We see you as a constant flow of love streaming in and out of the farm and also believe this gives the space a very special atmosphere.

We charge an all inclusive price for our dry hire, no extras apart from the ceremony fee and the accommodation. The cost for the weekend includes exclusive use of: * The large oak barn (8m x 16m) seating 110 on round tables or 150 on trestles. * The milking barn with a large wood burner. * The Studio Barn, an alternative indoor ceremony space in case of wet weather. * Elegant rear barn gardens, the large central courtyard, plus lawns with uninterrupted views overlooking Fonthill Lake. * A large separate field for parking cars. * Cloakroom with two WC’s. * Bar with fridge, freezer, sink, storage (no corkage charge) * Catering kitchen including six ring gas oven and plate warmer. * Round or trestle tables and chairs for the reception and ceremony. * Staging, fire pits, hay bales, cafe style tables and chairs, and signs.

From the moment we booked 2 years ago till the day we left after the wedding, the owners have been fantastic! The whole setting was just perfect, we had nothing but compliments from all our guests on what an amazing place it was to have our special day. The Brinkman Wedding 2025! What can I say… it was just perfect. After being engaged only a Month, we found Ashley Wood Farm. My then Fiancé LOVED it and that’s when we knew this would be the place we have our Wedding. We didn’t even look at any other Venues we just knew this was everything we wanted. We could put our stamp on the place whilst really not having to do much to the place. The architecture was gorgeous and meant we could keep the decor simple yet elegant. Ashley Wood Farm allowed us to bring our vision to life. Bea and Ralph were beyond welcoming at all times and no question was too much to ask and they were always on the other end of the phone to answer if we needed it. Great people to talk to and truly helped everything to feel calm and relaxed at all times. So to you both, thank you so much. You’ve enabled us to have the most beautiful memories that will live on for the rest of our lives. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a Wedding that they can truly make their vision come to life. Forever grateful for this place and will certainly be back to gorgeous Fisherman’s Lodge right next to the Venue (the bed was too comfy to not want to come back). Bee and Ralph were just absolutely amazing and their stunning venue was the most perfect, magical setting for our wedding. We had the most perfect day and we loved every single minute. There really is something special about Ashley Wood and we couldn’t have had our wedding at a more spectacular place! We were married here in early July 24. The setting, the view and the greenery are all just fabulous. The It's a beautiful barn, with a great range of facilities on site, so we never felt in need of anything further. There's also a cottage on site which was a perfect place to base ourselves. Bee and Ralph were very warm, friendly and generally 'hands-off', allowing us the freedom to do what we wanted, but were most certainly 'hands on' when things needed sorting (we had a downpour immediately before our event and Ralph was busy making sure all the paths were dry for us!). So many of our guests commented on what a beautiful place it was. We feel incredibly lucky to have found it!We were married here in early July 24.
