Wedding 2023

We had our wedding in May at Ardlinglas House, with two large tents in the gardens. The entire process, through booking, setup and the event itself went perfectly, and the team on hand at ardkinglas throughout were brilliant ! 5/5 top wedding venue !

Visit to the Garden

The best garden that I have ever seen in the entire UK. The trees are absolutely amazing. The land is rather fairy and probably can only be found in The Lord of the Rings. Highly recommended. Will visit again.

Great walk...

Great walk that is very well looked after. Clearly a lot of love has been put into it! Definitely worth it! - Plants and trees are well labelled - Maps are available at the car park - Gruffalo walk and very cute fairy village - Beautiful pond with lilly pads - Red squirrels can be seen - Dog friendly (Dogs to be kept on the lead)

Stunning...

Stunning, breathtaking, magnificent just a few words that came to mind as we walked through the woodland. If you love nature, you need to visit this place. You will not be disappointed. For £5 you can experience one of the most wonderful woodlands you will ever experience. It was so beautiful, we made an extra donation of £20. It's kept in great condition, the single Gardner has there work cut out for them, but it's flawless. There is something for everyone on this walk. I won't go I to details

Hidden gem

Visited twice in early July and the place is beautiful, our kids (2 & 5) loves the gruffalo and fairy trails while my wife and I took an interest in the champion trees. The views are stunning and we had a small picnic after enjoying our walk round the gardens

A Walk in the Woods with Lots of Interest

Ardkinglas House is the set for various movies and TV series. We learned of it that way and based on our discussions the same was true of other visitors. We came here to see the house, but it has only very limited hours and ended up visiting the woodland garden instead. That turned out to be a very good choice. The gardens go along the edge of a valley. It is a naturally beautiful setting, but they have also added other attractions along the way. We had an enjoyable afternoon walking the paths.

Absolutely worth a visit

Lovely spot! We had a great time. We could see that a lot of effort and love was put into the garden. The fairy trail was the highlight. Our 1.5 year old daughter loved it. We will be back ❤️

Stunning!

Great Edwardian country house, fabulous views. Real history lesson from our lovely guide. Beautiful rooms and outstanding workmanship throughout, well worth a visit. And the Gruffalo Trail is in the grounds too for the wee ones. Very scenic grounds with a super wee lochan. The Ladies Garden features many rhododendrons and rare azaleas and is simply amazing in May (only open to the public for two weeks in May)

Fabulous colourful gardens with lovely views of lo

Tranquil and bucolic, plenty of birdsong and leisurely strolls through the gently tended house gardens of towering rhododendrons and azaleas. Quiet views of the Loch and no noise from the traffic on the other side - woodland walk amongst the hugest trees in the country. Along the road in cairndow is the local inn with good good and nice staff and ….. coffee!

A Real Gem!

A real gem of a garden which gave much pleasure to us on a lovely day. The Gruffalo Trail was excellent as was the Fairy Trail. It took about 2 hrs to do the trail and enjoy the lovely trees
