Alpheton Hall Barns

Alpheton Hall Barns was our venue of choice and I can't express how amazing our special day was in words! The woodland glade was absolutely stunning, the garden area was extremely well looked after and the Barn itself... Just wow! Carol and Nic are exceptional hosts and went above and beyond to make our dream day a reality, we couldn't recommend themselves and their venue enough!

We got married at Alpheton Hall Barns and we don’t want to sound too gleeful, but we can safely say it was the best day of our lives. The venue is charming and whimsically beautiful, and we got lucky with the sunshine so were able to have our service in the woodland glade and make use of the lovely stackyard garden for our drinks reception. The reception barn was a perfect size to feel intimate with all our guests but have enough room to dance, chat and celebrate. While the barns don’t need any additional adornments, it was also lovely to be able to put our stamp on the space in the form of bunting, handmade signage, and lovely flowers from Wild & Mae. If the barns are brilliant, they are only outstripped by the owners! Carol and Nic know every inch of their venue and how to maximise its potential to make the day extra special and have excellent knowledge and insights. They were happy for us to visit on multiple occasions and open days to get a feel for the space and discuss ideas with us and support us to have our day the way we wanted it. Special mention to the reception entrance lights routine designed by Nic that just took the whole experience to another level and whisking off a broken mirror for a fix after it was ‘damaged in transit’ (read: dropped by groom on its way into the building!)! Thank you to Carol too, for her endlessly calm and thoughtful approach - including shuttling all our things from the ceremony area to our reception space and arranging them perfectly. Throughout the process, Nic and Carol were supportive, insightful and their passion and care for each wedding at the barns is evident in all they do. We have so much love and appreciation for the barns and everything they meant for our wedding day and celebrating with all our favourite people. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to get married and cannot recommend it enough.

Like most who get married, this was the happiest day of our lives. But it would not have been anywhere near as amazing without Carol, Nick, and the beautiful setting that is Alpheton Hall Barns. From the very first phone call we felt certain we were in good hands. They offered us sage advice when we needed it, and went above and beyond for us. We looked at countless other venues, but when we found AHB knew we'd hit the jackpot. The venue is unbelievably beautiful; we were astounded that somewhere like this could even exist. While looking at other venues there seemed to be a general one size fits all approach with the people we met. The complete opposite can be said of Carol and Nick, it was clear from the first call that they cared deeply about making our day special... and I must say they delivered. The ceremony took place in the woodland area and it was perfect. We weren't worried about rain because the chapel was a gorgeous second choice in case of rain. We had over 200 people attend the evening of our wedding, but AHB took that amount of people in it's stride. With gorgeous grounds, the magical barn, and court yard areas this place was the perfect backdrop for a truly spectacular day. We can't put into words how grateful we are to both Carol and Nick for making our wedding exactly what we wanted. It was the best day our lives. So for those looking at having their wedding here, all I can say is you'd be in the best hands possible.

We fell in love with the barns due to their rustic beauty and ability to put our own stamp on our wedding day. We had the absolute best, most beautiful day of our lives. If anything went wrong, we weren't aware of it and much of that is due to Carol being there in the background making sure all the suppliers were okay and on track and Nic out front with the guests making sure we were looked after and taking some beautiful photos and video clips, which he put up on the screen in the evening next to the dance floor, which was such a special touch. From the set up, to the camper van taking the bride to the ailse, to the confetti balloon in our first dance, to the clean up, Alpheton Hall Barns made our day perfect and we are so greatful!

This venue is simply amazing and our guests were amazed at the beautiful barn. We were able to have a woodland ceremony, welcome drinks in the gardens followed by a reception in the barn. The barn is stunning from the polished floors, unique barrels stands and open beams as well as the roof decorations. The venue provided an amazing list of vendors to work with who all work regularly at the barns. In the evening we had pizzas that were cooked on-site in outdoor pizza ovens, again which simply were outstanding. The venue has ample parking and great facilities. When we pitched our Harry Potter theme, Nic's creativity was outstanding. He was able to rig an indoor flying owl whcih delivered our speeches and flying broomstick which was so unique. He also is outstanding at audio and lighting. He provided such unique ideas and was passionate about ensuring we had the best possible day. They also offer so many different props and accessories to dress the venue with a great variety of things on offer at no extra charge. Nic and Carol went above and beyond in all areas. We were blown away by the personal touches they added. They are friendly, approachable and offer such individualised ideas. This venue is naturally beautiful and then has ample opportunity to add personal touches for your perfect wedding. The grounds and venue overall are stunning! It allowed us to have the most magical wedding that was beyond all expectations.

We couldn't have asked for a better venue and more supportive hosts for our May 2024 wedding. Alpheton Hall Barns is a stunning venue. It looked beautiful with our relatively minimal floral package, the sunny weather meant we had our wedding breakfast with the barn doors open creating a relaxed sociable vibe, it felt intimate for our 83 guests and full and buzzing during the ceilidh. Nic and Carol made the whole process stress free and personal. They were supportive during the venue set up and absolutely brilliant on the day of the wedding at making sure things ran smoothly including my wife and I were in the right place at the right time. Our guests assumed they were part of the wedding party as they were so friendly and welcoming. Nic and Carol have a great relationship with lots of local suppliers, many of whom we used. They knew the venue well and provided flawless service. It's a beautiful part of the world and our guests had no trouble finding hotels and airbnbs in which to stay. We would have made use of the onsite camping option if it was available when we were planning the day. As a city boy the taxi situation feels like twenty years ago. You'll need to provide details of lots of local taxi firms and get your guests to book in advance. We had some guests waiting an hour plus to be picked up at the end of the night - either that or they were hoping the party would carry on. If you're looking for Suffolk barn wedding you can't do better than Alpheton. Thank you Nic and Carol for making our wedding so perfect.

We found searching for a wedding venue quite overwhelming with many choices, and not really understanding what we needed from a wedding venue. I am so glad we went with our gut with Alpheton Hall Barns, drawn in by the beautiful woodland ceremony space but we gradually discovered we’d hit the jackpot! Carol and Nic have thought of absolutely everything which was very reassuring, they are absolute experts that offered us great advice. The barns themselves were beautiful, we unfortunately had a downpour just before our planned woodland ceremony but the ceremony barn was so beautiful it really didn’t matter! The barns need very little decoration, but Carol and Nic have a massive collection of props to use and they also have a great supplier list which we utilised extensively and it gave us a great piece of mind on the day. Thank you again Carol and Nic!

We had our wedding here in June, the space was rustic and wonderful, with plenty of freedom to customise to our (or your) taste. The owners are extremely helpful, don’t charge corkage, provide a slew of props, help with sound, can do a confetti balloon for your first dance, help with filming and photography, and even have a pizza oven on site. The value far exceeds the cost, the customisation is extensive, and we had a wonderful time there. They also have close ties to many good providers who know the venue very well and are very good value. The outdoor ceremony area is also a plus (weather depending). Really can’t recommend AHB enough. They even do a lovely social reel of the day you can watch. 10/10 would get divorced and married there again

Alpheton Hall Barns will forever now have a special place in our hearts. We fell in love with the venue when we first visited, the outdoor ceremony area was everything we wanted (and luckily the weather held for us to get married outside) and the barns themselves are beautiful. Carol and Nic were so helpful whilst planning our wedding, always on hand to answer questions and allowing us to visit the venue multiple times to measure up and check things out. They helped us make our wedding truly individual to us, offering us advice and adding their special touches. One of those was having two glasses of prosecco waiting for us in one of the smaller rooms after the ceremony, it gave us time to ourselves to take in that we had just got married, before confetti and photos. We highly recommend choosing Alpheton Hall Barns as your venue, you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Carol and Nic for helping us create a magical day to remember forever.

Everything was so perfect it's hard to know where to start! The venue is utterly beautiful inside and out, nothing has been overlooked from the chill out room for the couple after the ceremony (or anyone who needs a bit of time out, mothers with babies etc.) to the catering facilities, the heart shaped meadow for amazing confetti photos (with drone flying above to capture it!), the band stand etc. etc. The barns are stunning even before they are dressed with flowers, the grounds are just wonderful. Carol and Nic were incredible both before and during the day, always on hand, took every potential little stress away, always going above and beyond to make our day what it was - utterly perfect.
