Cannot put into words how utterly disappointed we are with Aldwark Manor. We booked our wedding over 2 years ago for October this year and we contacted to see if we could move it to next year. We was told that we couldn't do this as we had a package with the previous owners and that stops the end of this year. They said they would look into this for us and then got a phone call back after speaking to the owners and they told us that they have decided to give our deposit back to us and cancel the wedding as there will be renovation work taking place and it would be a "construction site". Not only was this disappointing after having our heart set on a venue but also very stressful as weddings early this year had to re book theres due to covid so would be difficult to not only find a venue we liked but also find one that was affordable and available. It was also very clear that the owners didn't even realise our wedding was booked in as they stated that they didn't want any weddings to go ahead later this year! We asked if we could speak to the owners regarding this and was told that they will not agree to speak to us and we had to speak to the manager! It is quite clear that aldwark manor is no longer customer service based and is now money orientated. If you would like to go with a posh showy Hotel that doesn't care then aldwark is the place but if you would like to go with a lovely hotel that also cares about its customers and will do the most to make you happy, look elsewhere. Be aware if you have booked at aldwark manor, I would advise you phone to check they can still accommodate you.
