The manger/owners relation is like nothing we have experienced. If you want a shoddy, letdown for a wedding day then book away but if you want quaint, country wedding that is planned by experienced staff then run in the opposite direction! Food was disastrous not ‘homemade’ at all, all shop bought and cheap shop bought at that. Rundown not looked after falling apart all come to mind. I would not recommend this venue to anyone! We'd booked it after visiting the venue and seeing exactly how they dressed it. Location was outstandingly beautiful and all our guests commented on how perfect it was for us. We booked our wedding 2 1/2 years in advance so had plenty of time to arrange everything and the package was perfect for us. Because we booked early though we had many different wedding planners (not the venue's fault) and it got frustrating having to explain every time what was included in our package. There were a few issues on the day, such as bridal accommodation (which was rectified immediately) and some things we'd asked for or were included we didn't get. Overall we were incredibly happy with the venue and the price we paid. Wonderful venue, great day it was perfect for our quirky, vintage, intimate wedding.
