Each precious moment of your day will flow seamlessly - from your ceremony in the South Barn or Courtyard Pavilion, to drinks with your guests, a stylish wedding breakfast in the North Barn, and an evening of dancing back in the South Barn. Abbey barn is a fairly new venue to us, though very close to where we live. We got to shoot there for the first time in 2024 and were really impressed how established and well organised we found it. Though the grounds are obviously quite new and the landscaping will take a season or two to really settle in - the buildings, ether newly built or more established are excellent and really well tuned to weddings. Liv was our wedding planner and she created such a seamless day where everything ran so smoothly. She organised with all of our suppliers so all we had to do was turn up on the day. The staff were so friendly and all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is. I’m very grateful to Liv and UNV for giving us the best day possible!We just had our wedding at Abbey Barn and we cannot fault it. We cannot thank Maddy and all of the staff at Unique Norfolk Venues for being so lovely and professional right from the first moment we visited the barn all the way to the days after the wedding. Maddy instantly made us feel so welcome and made the whole planning process so fun and exciting - I wish we could do it all again! We felt so looked after all weekend and literally didn't have to worry about a single thing! The food was so tasty, the drinks were delicious and seeing all of our favourite people together laughing and having the best time is something we will never forget. We chose Abbey Barn before it was even built as we knew it fit exactly what we wanted - it is a converted barn in the countryside with a modern edge and you can put your own style to it which is what we loved! The farmhouse is just simply amazing, and I am so glad we stayed there the night before the wedding aswell as the wedding night. Getting ready in the beautiful prep room was a dream and just being able to walk across the venue was perfect. They couldn't have done enough for us and helped us plan our special day with ease. The day went by without any fault and we both felt relaxed. The venue was beautiful, catered our 90 day guests and 110 in total for the evening without any problems. The food was made upon our special request and had many compliments. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The first ever wedding we hosted at Abbey Barn. The couple were fantastic, they really embraced the whole experience and it was fun to be on the journey together. Their wedding was beautiful, full of so much love, colour and laughter. The heaven's opened, but nothing was going to dampen their day - plus they got some amazing photos in the rain!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try to enjoy the planning process as much as possible. Lean on friends, family, your suppliers and of course your wedding planner... we're here to make your day truly special.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A quiz about the couple as part of the speeches. It was a great way of interacting with the guests and helps the speakers with some content if they are nervous!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The pathway leading to the front door of the Farmhouse. It is really beautiful, surrounded by greenery and a picture perfect spot for those couple portraits.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our favourite canape is Crispy Tofu Yakitori with Soy Glaze. Delicious and, better still, can be enjoyed by all of your guests!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The ceremony space and wedding breakfast sits within a barn that has been lovingly restored, using sustainable materials to honour the gorgeous surrounding fields of wildflowers.
