Your wedding day is one of the most important moments of your life, and for many couples, it wouldn’t feel complete without their dog by their side. Our dogs are part of the family, and including them in the ceremony or photographs creates unforgettable memories. But weddings are busy, and between getting ready, greeting guests and celebrating, it’s hard to make sure your dog is comfortable, cared for and stress-free. That’s where we step in.

At Paws ‘n’ Heal, we provide a dedicated Wedding Dog Chaperone Service across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and the wider North West. Run by an IMDT-certified trainer and qualified behaviourist, with canine first aid training, enhanced DBS clearance and full insurance, we give couples complete peace of mind that their dog is in safe, professional hands on their big day.

What’s Included

Every package begins with a pre-wedding consultation and behavioural assessment to ensure your dog’s role matches their temperament. We can also provide wedding skills training before the event — from calm lead walking to photo posing, or even ring-bearing if it’s suitable for your dog’s personality.

On the day, services may include:

• Collection from your home or carer
• Comfort walk, toilet break and hydration
• Dressing in chosen wedding attire or accessories
• Arrival at the venue before the ceremony
• Chaperoning for aisle duties, guest greetings and photos
• Feeding, breaks and quiet-time as needed
• Safe return home, to a carer, or overnight stay in your own home

Optional extras include extended reception coverage, overnight care, and a pre-wedding pamper with our trusted award-winning local groomer.

Our Packages

Ceremony Companion – £295

For couples who want their dog present for the most important moment. Includes consultation, temperament assessment, collection, comfort walk, dressing in attire, arrival 30 minutes before the ceremony, chaperoning for aisle duties, photos, and safe return home (10 miles included, £1/mile thereafter).

Full Celebration Package – £425

For couples who want their dog included throughout the ceremony and reception. Includes everything in Ceremony Companion plus extended attendance for photos and mingling, venue familiarisation walk, feeding and comfort breaks, and safe return home after the reception (15 miles included).

Premium Paw Package – £595

For complete peace of mind with overnight care. Includes everything in the Full Celebration Package plus overnight care in your own home, early morning collection and grooming brush, additional playtime and exercise, and care until late evening or the following morning (20 miles included).

• Booking fee: 35% of package price, non-refundable, secures the date
• Balance: due 4 weeks before the wedding

• Cancellation policy: more than 60 days = balance refunded (fee retained); 30–59 days = 50% retained; less than 30 days = no refund
