There have been so many during my 20 years as a wedding car chauffeur. I remember the wedding of the manager of pop boy band, JLS, who were guests at the wedding. I've done lots of Asian weddings with literally hundreds of guests (and curry for the drivers) I remember a bride (I even remember her name, Lizzie) who had the most infectious laugh who insisted on going to church with her bridesmaids who sang all the way there. Her dad had to make his own way. There's so many.
Chatty, funny, spontaneous, witty, loveable-haha.
I am most proud of the high quality and standard of my wedding cars, one of which has just had a total refurbishment.
Book early. You don't want to leave things until the last few months, by which time, the car of your dreams may no longer be available.
Again, I have seen so many over the years. Finding a venue which can have the ceremony outdoors in the summer is always a nice touch.
Following the first contact, if it's by email, I will phone the couple and introduce myself, and try to get a feel for the type of wedding which they are interested in, and also for them to feel comfortable and confident in my ability to provide them with the best possible service. I ask lots of questions so that between the three of us, we can determine, firstly the best vehicle for their wedding, the number of pick-ups that vehicle can make and whether a second vehicle is required. We go on to discuss price, special requirements, times and drinks. There's always something to discuss at a later date, but I always encourage couples to contact me if they are unsure of anything at all or have any questions.
Probably one of the most original entrances given to a couple is driving down the airfield at a venue which is a converted farm. The airstrip was on one of the fields next to the farm. The wedding couple had been for a brief flight before the reception.
My dream car is my Beauford 4 door Tourer. I'm very proud of it. I've been driving it for 18 years.
My No. 1 tip for arriving in style would be:- Hire a wedding car from James Wedding Cars. You won't regret it.
'Bullitt' with Steve McQueen, the coolest movie star who ever lived.
