Honey Bugs Full Description
Honey Bugs is run by husband and wife Richard and Sarah Honey, who both have a passion for everything VW. Their business, appropriately named Honey Bugs, specialises in VW wedding cars in Cornwall. Unlike many other providers in the area, Honey Bug's VW Beetles and Campers are reserved purely for wedding hire, ensuring they are kept beautiful and to a high standard for your special day. As specialist wedding vehicles, you wont find any sinks, cookers or kitchens in the vehicles or the scent of last nights fish and chips. The fleet currently consists of VW Beetles, a cream 1971 Bay Camper and a Split Screen Camper. At present,Honey Bugs can carry between 3-7 passengers in the their vehicles. Wedding packages can be complied to suit your requirements, with duration, decoration and music tailored to your individual needs. We consider Campers and Beetles to be the ultimate wedding transport for any beach or Cornish wedding! Our vehicles come with everything you need for a Corwall based wedding, including brollies, brand new white flip flops for the bride and on board towels for drying off after any beach photos.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I particularly love a Lusty Glaze wedding we carried out last August. The couple booked 3 of our white cars and (2 beetles and a camper) and drove in a VW convoy from Crantock to Lusty Glaze in Newquay. It was an awesome sight which made all passer by's smile.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Honey Bugs is: friendly, relaxed, flexible, conscientious, honest.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Wow what a question? If I have to choose just one thing,, it would be the standard of of vehicles. We invest a lot of love, time and money into our cars. They all have their own names and are an extended part of our family.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

When booking wedding transport, I would advise not to leave it too late! If you see something you like, book it! During spring and summer we get incredibly busy. We hate having to disappoint couples when we are already booked!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The bride booked three of our vehicles to carry all the immediate bridal party, but in addition, she also booked a white double decker bus to carry all of her guests from the church to the reception. Three white VW's and a white double decker (ribboned), brilliant!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After the initial enquiry and quote, should you wish to proceed we will send you a bookng form and an invoice for a 25% deposit. You will be given a confirmation letter and the final balance is due 6 weeks before the wedding. Four weeks before the wedding, I will liaise with our customers to arrange all the final details for times and any other special requests.

What is the most original entrance you have given to a wedding couple?

One of our brides, booked one of our wedding cars for the practical wedding transport (to and from the church), but when we arrived at the entrance to the reception venue, the groom surprised the bride with his banger racing car which he had resprayed in the wedding colours and personalised with their names. Richard assisted the bride and helped her climb onto the bonnet of the banger car, whilst her groom drove her slowly to the main doors, where the guests awaited.

What is your dream car and why?

A split screen camper of course! You can never have too many!! They are addictive.

What would be your No. 1 tip for arriving in style?

For that true VIP feeling, nothing beats arriving in a convertible.

What is your favourite movie car chase?

Anything from Herbie!
