What is your most memorable wedding?
My own :) We planned it in 13 weeks due to family illness and we had 150 guests on the day then 250 in total for the evening reception. It was all about being together with family and friends. It was 14 years ago and there wasn't as much choice as there is now and I think I panicked and few suppliers on needing things so quickly!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Unique ~ Lovely ~ Individual ~ Simple ~ Beautiful!
What about your business are you most proud of?
My individual style that couples love. Also that everything is done by me, all responses to emails, designs and putting the stationery together (I have a lovely sister & mum who sometimes lend a helping hand sticking & tying).
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Set up a wedding email address! This can be used to sign up to fayres, promotions etc and then used for your RSVP's so they don't get lost amongst all your day to day emails.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
~My process is I first receive an inquiry or meet at a wedding fayre. I will answer as many questions as possible at this point.
~From here I will arrange a one to one consultation in my studio (if possible) if not it can all be done via email.
~If the couple would like to go ahead I take a deposit before starting the design work.
~I will then work to the couple's ideas to create some lovely drafts which I will send digitally.
~ I will work through any amends and when the couple are happy, the final amount to pay will be requested and I will send the design to print.
~ They are all printed on specialist printers (no home desktop printers!) to ensure a high quality finished product.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
Your invitation is the first glimpse of your wedding your guests will get, it really sets the scene for the day so it's lovely to send something special. Also the information for guests, RSVP's, etc is important to save any stress closer to the wedding.
What is your best seller?
My most unique piece is my Illustrated Guest Seating plan where each guest is hand-drawn from photos. My most popular seller is my concertina invitations each is designed differently though!
