Scissors, Paper & Lace Full Description
I'm Victoria, and I started Scissors, Paper & Lace to give wedding couples a friendly and approachable service rather than just a business transaction between a faceless company and a client. I pride myself on the detailed personal service I offer couples and take great pleasure in seeing a job through from our initial meeting to the collection of your stationery. Your invites are the first thing your guests see and it is the perfect opportunity to make a fabulous impression and set the scene for your special day. From that very first impression with the design of your wedding invitations, Scissors, Paper & Lace will provide you with beautifully designed matching stationery;- Order of services/wedding timelines; table plans; place name cards; table names/numbers; menu cards; wedding advice cards; signs/posters; guest books/post boxes to name a few. I have many designs that will suit any budget but for those couples who want something a little different, I offer a free bespoke service giving you the opportunity to have something designed individually for you both.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I would have to say it was my own back in 2008 - As cliche as it sounds it was one of the best days of my life. Not only did I get to marry my husband after being engaged forever I also found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life - provide other couples with beautiful memories in creating stunning stationery.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Beautiful; luxurious; exquisite; elegant and delicate

What about your business are you most proud of?

The personal service I provide. I am always on hand for couples if they need to ask any questions or even pop round for a cuppa.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Remember you can not please everyone - it's your special day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A family wedding I designed stationery for had a beautiful large standing wishing tree. Ribbons hang down with polaroid photos of the couples at different places they had visited together before they got married.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I normally receive a phone call/email - we would arrange a time and date and the couple would come over to look at some designs over a cup of tea. From the meeting, I would have a really good idea of what they wanted from their wedding stationery. I would then send out a sample and we would go from there.

What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?

Definitely the wedding invitation itself. This sets the tone for your wedding day. Your guests get a really good idea on what they can expect. I designed some invitations and a neighbour of someone who had received an invite said that was "definitely a wedding you would want to be invited to!"

What is your best seller?

Pocketfolds are really popular at the moment - they hold lots of information for guests.

How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?

Sometimes I put a little quote on wedding invitations or even a line from the couple's first song is a lovely touch.
