What about your business are you most proud of?
We are most proud of how much out business has grown through word of mouth. We started Paper Stag Stationery whilst planning our own wedding, and since then it's been a delight to work with and create personalised stationery for other couples. It's always sparks joy to hear such good feedback from our clients, and to hear that they've recommended us to other friends and family is just incredible!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Just have fun!
Try not to stress about the tiny details, at the end of the day your guests are there to see you and your partner get married and share in the love and joy of the day. And if you're having fun, you bet they are too!
No on is going to remember the chalkboard you forgot to place beside the canapés, but they will remember the smiles and laughter they shared with you.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Our favourite personal touch at a wedding would be sunglasses and a fridge magnet at a wedding abroad in Cyprus. They had pink tinted aviators for the girls and blue tinted glasses for the boys. We still have the fridge magnet on display in our home, and it's a lovely reminder of the day every time I reach for the milk for my morning tea!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Typically our process with couples starts with an initial consultation. This can be done via email, phone, social media messaging or in person.
At the initial consultation we get to know the couple and find out their ideas and preferences for their wedding stationery.
Once the couple have decided on the style of stationery they like and we've agreed on the details, we'll usually take around a week to create a digital version on their stationery items, which is then sent to the couple to review and make any amends they wish to make.
After the couple have reviewed their digital proof and they are happy with all the details, we'll then begin on creating their order. This can typically take anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on what and how many items are required.
We do offer physical samples (at a cost of £5 each) which can be sent out after the initial digital proof has been reviewed so that couples can see, feel and touch the items they're looking to order.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The most important piece of stationery we would say is the invitations. Without your invitations how will anyone know about the wedding!
Of course thats not strictly true, but they can be a lovely keepsake for people to have to remember your big day.
What is your best seller?
We see a lot of couples opting for our classic and simple style of invitations, however as styles change and new ideas emerge we're seeing more and more new designs coming to light including kraft card invitations as an option for a rustic wedding theme, and deep autumnal colours for weddings held in Sept-Feb.
