What is your most memorable wedding?
It has to be our own! I had sworn never to create our invitation after hearing horror stories of printing nightmares. But I did it and I haven't looked back. Your invitation is the first glimpse your guests get of your wedding and I love to create something special you will be proud to send to them.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Pretty, Personal, Special, Thoughtful, Relaxed
What about your business are you most proud of?
I set Luna & Frank up after over ten years as a designer for some of the UK's biggest retailers, working for myself and owning my own business is an incredible honour.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make a list of things you'd like to have at your wedding when you get engaged. Then when the planning you can look back to what you really wanted from your day, before you got sidetracked with mariachi bands and confetti cannons!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love it when a couple wants an illustrated map. I love researching the venue, scrolling through all the photos or watching the video to get a feel for the place. Sketching up the maps and adding in little landmarks is so fun and makes it personal to each invitation. It also looks much better than a paragraph of text as directions.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When my couples get in touch, we organise a chat either on the phone, zoom, in person or over email. I really enjoy hearing the plans you have made already and any special details you want to incoporate throughout the day.
When I have a good vibe for the day I will send over a personalised quote and a mood board so we are both clear on the design brief. If you are happy with the design proposal and quotation, I will take a 50% deposit and start designing.
The design draft stadge can take a couple of weeks, I will keep you in the loop, sending you updates of where I am up to with your designs. You will get three to four options to choose from, so you can see a variety of fonts and layouts in one go. You can also chop, change and select fonts from one draft and add these to a layout from another.
When you are totally happy with the designs, I will ask for the final half of the payment and send your designs to the printers. If there is any assembly needed, this will be done before I package everything up.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The main invitation sets the tone for the whole wedding, this the first glimpse your guests will see. Colour's, styles, they get the venue name and the time of the wedding and can research the local area. Think how exciting it is to receive that first bit of post, it gets you excited for the whole day!
What is your best seller?
My Bespoke wedding invitations with matching RSVP cards.
What is the most innovative delivery method you have come across?
Despite printing invitations, I love a wedding website to collate RSVP's and tell guests about other aspects of the wedding. I have recently had a couple who sent out a "Save the date" type invitation with their website. I then designed the website to sit back with the invitation and included lots of photography from the venue and a little map.
