What is your most memorable wedding?
It does have to be my own. I got married in June 2023 to my childhood sweetheart.
Designing and seeing my own stationery visions come to life for my own day was very surreal and to then see them featured on a blog and our guests interacting with signs and saving invitations just filled me with the most joy!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Modern, Minimal, Elegant, Luxury, Contemporary
What about your business are you most proud of?
I 'officially' started my business during the end of covid (2021) whilst still working a full time corporate job, home schooling my eldest boy and with a 1 year old - crazy! I started working from a really old Dell laptop and storing bits of cardstock in a spare cupboard in our living room.
I was unhappy within my full time role, and we had experienced a really terrible year so my aim was to go part time so I could work on my designs and get the business going. Within less than 6 months I was quitting my full time role and building a storage area and desk in our dining room for me to work from. Since then I have gone on to be lucky enough to create stationery for hundreds of couples, be featured in multiple magazines and blogs, win TWIA West Midlands Stationer of the Year 2024 and National Highly Commended.
My business continues to grow, with me recently expanding into offering large hireable signs and it is something that I never dreamed would happen.
I am so proud of my business as a whole and the fact that I get to be a part of someones most magical day!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do what makes you happy - there will be SO many opinions thrown around but it is your day. Don't feel like you have to stick to tradition and check all spellings haha!!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Pet illustrations are always a really adorable personal touch - I have added many dogs to the front of venue illustrations for invites and stationery!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Recieve an enquiry - take a look through it to ensure I have all information needed - reach out to the couple if anything is missing or to gather further details on designs, inspo and their overall vibe for the day - gather their requirements - put together a personalised proposal outlining costs, materials, delivery etc - discuss, tweak and change if needed.
If the couple are happy - we proceed to take a 50% deposit and book in design and delivery dates.
Upon design - initial proofs are completed and sent digitally to the couple (photos and videos of mock ups are done too if needed) - we amend, update where necessary - once approved I send to print, pack and deliver to my couple.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
I think everyone expects it to be an Invite but personally for me - The table plan.
Without this, it is wedding breakfast chaos and no one needs that on their wedding day.
What is your best seller?
Letter To My... - This is a love letter for you Bride or Groom on the morning of the wedding.
