What about your business are you most proud of?
The attention to detail, appreciation from my customers of my service and the awards and recognition I have received over the years. This year I am super excited about my new sales agent project which I am launching across the country .. this will enable more customers to have a personalised service and access to consultations.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number 1 wedding planning time for couples is to try not to over-complicate things and tie yourselves into strict timelines too soon in your planning.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I prefer to keep things as simple as possible because invitations can seem a little over-whelming after a few months of on-line searching!!
I start off with arranging a free sample (whether it be one that's been ordered online or at a consultation) .. from there we finalise the design and wording. I will prepare an order form at which point I require a 50% deposit and that secures the order in my production schedule. The balance payment is due on completion and prior to shipping.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
Well I would definitely say this would be the invitations .. otherwise you're not going to have any guests!! Second to that I would definitely say a Table Plan. I've personally attended an "informal" wedding where they didn't have a table plan and people could sit wherever they wanted to .. but this made me feel uncomforable as I felt I had to gauge for myself how "important" a guest I was and where in the room I should position myself .. I ended up in the far back corner of the room on a table with University lecturers who were chemical biologists. Eek! I'm pretty sure the bride and groom would have sat us with some people who we were more likely to mix well with.
What is your best seller?
My best selling invitation design is definitely the "pocket card" design. This comes complete with a personalised front cover, mounted invitation inside and also 2 loose inserts (usually used for an RSVP and a guest information card).
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
Well these days there's so many different options in terms of embellishments and different papers .. things like diamante hearts and lace work really well.
