Francis Cupiss Full Description
We are an established printing company trading since 1830, through our letterpress arm of the company we specialise in classic printed Wedding Stationery on a wide range of cards from the Conqueror range of shades and textures, GF Smith Colorplan range of colours and weights and the RK Burt range of speciality and acid free card. We are also willing for clients to supply their own choice of card by arrangement. This fourth generation family run business is using skills learnt through years of experience to create unique ranges of Wedding Stationery including “Save the Date”, “Invitations”, “Order of Service” to “Place Cards” and sundries. Using our historic presses we can print, die cut to shape, crease and add Hot Foil. By combining letterpress printing, offset litho printing and digital printing we can assist our clients to create stationery to match their own specifications. Our printing uses engraved letterpress blocks generated from client or in house created artwork. Alternatively we can hand compose text from our wide range of metal and wooden letters dating back nearly 200 years to match our clients instructions. Hand composing being a traditional printing skill dating back to when Johannes Gutenberg introduced moveable type in 1450. When going to press if instructed we apply heavier impression during the printing stage to give an extra tactile finish to the print only available in true letterpress printing. Our range card is available from 300gsm up to 900gsm and beyond in various colours and textures. The company also run Letterpress Experience Days, one couple used this to organise, design and print their own Wedding Invitations and Place Cards using our historic metal and wooden lettering. A truly “hands on” way to produce stationery for their “special day”. For more details, blogs and video please visit our website www.cupissletterpress.co.uk
