Fir and Gold

Based in central Cardiff, Fir and Gold was founded by illustrator Layla Holzer. With a First Class Illustration degree and MA in Art and Design under her belt, a background in exhibition and editorial illustration, and an obsession with the natural world, folk art and whimsical love, Layla is an illustrator on a quest to create fresh contemporary wedding stationery that is beautiful, quirky and unique. Every single design has originally started as a hand-created illustration, either painted using the finest watercolours, gouaches and inks, hand-drawn in pen and finished in luxe metallic foil, or painstakingly cut from paper and card and then layered into imagery. Created completely in-house, you will not see our designs anywhere else! Once finished, these illustrations have then been digitised and paired with stunning, modern typography before being printed onto either tactile lightly-hammered gesso card or softly-finished smooth card. All of our stationery is printed onto FSC certified cards/papers. We can personalise our stationery with your wedding details, and we offer several selected suites with different options to suit you as a couple. We also offer hand-foiled and vellum finishes on selected designs and bespoke custom designs, as well as our bridesmaid and thank you cards. Each customer order is worked on individually and we pride ourselves on our attention to detail and high quality customer service.
