Express Wishes were established in 2013 and provide handcrafted wedding stationery with bespoke designs. From linen cardstock to hammered effect in white and ivory, coloured & rustic kraft card, and more, you can achieve exactly what you want with a design from Express Wishes. We’ll work together to create a one-of-a-kind design with you and your partner’s special day in mind. Wedding invitations set the tone for your big day, so it’s important to find an invite that matches your individual personality and the style of your wedding. From start to finish, I take time with you to carefully craft a suite that matches who you are and what you care about. What is your most memorable wedding?
I was asked to make wedding stationery for a czech republic wedding and all the stationery was in czech, now that was a challenge, but I did it! If you are looking for something different, I love a challenge and invitations can be made in any language.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
All my stationery is handcrafted with care for each couple providing a unique quality design that is creative and special.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Building my stationery business for the last 12 years from nothing, which now allows me to do a job that I love every day. Seeing the couples fabulous reactions when they see their finished products!
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have fun with your themes and colours. Having a guest list sorted for the numbers of invitations etc. that you will need. Remember it is one invitation per couple/household. It really helps me provide a quotation for your total order. Order all stationery items together and receive a package discount. Be organised and order in good time in order for me to schedule you into my production diary. You may not know colours etc, but it's more important to get that date booked, as I hate to disappoint.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Couples that give personalised cards to parents and the wedding party. Vow books that co-ordinate with your stationery instead of a bit of paper are a good thing to add and also make a lovely keepsake of the promises made to each other.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
They would come for an initial consultation where we will discuss styles colours etc. We design together and proofs are then made ready to be signed off where the couple will be given their actual stationery proof. Keeping couples informed at every stage is important to me.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The invitation, as it is a small glimpse of what your wedding day will be like and sets the vibe, which I'm sure will be fabulous!
What is your best seller?
My handcrafted special pocket style invitations, or a 5 x 7 velum wrap style complete with wax seal to finish. Simple but elegant.
What is the most innovative delivery method you have come across?
Normally stationery is collected in person. I have delivered all the wedding stationery to the venues in the past, when the couples have no room in their car for the table plan and easel and all the other bits. It's lovely to be able to see all the items co-ordinated and coming together on the day.
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
Wax seals are always a romantic touch for any stationery. Designs change every year and it's nice to see how I can design something that little bit different.
