Can I say my own? I did do my own calligraphy! Each wedding is unique and I love the small intimate ceremonies as well as those worthy of a double-page spread in a glossy magazine. One of my brides got married at Durham Cathedral and the pictures from that were pretty spectacular - flowers galore!
The reaction I get when I hand over a completed commission - all positive so far! Making people happy makes me happy.
Remember that it's your day, so do it your way.
One of my brides hand-delivered every single one of her invitations.
I will discuss calligraphy styles and types and colour of ink, deciding on which would best suit the stationery before coming up with a sample, if necessary. Then it's just a case of getting the guest list, or wording if it's a piece of writing, and the stationery and getting on with the calligraphy. Simple really!
I think the wedding invitation - and the envelope it arrives in - really sets the tone for your wedding. It gives your guests an initial clue as to what to expect from your big day - and first impressions count!
