What is your most memorable wedding?
It has to be Jennie and Tom, 2017. It was really the first time I experienced a groom (and his dad!) as excited about planning as the bride! They were a fantastic couple, and have actually become friends of ours. We had so much fun whenever we contacted them about their stationery, as Tom always had another idea or another 'thing' to add to their order. He really did do everything he could to make the day special for them both, and you could see that this marriage was forever.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Modern, Stylish, Different, Fresh, Clean.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I love how we have worked together on every aspect. I'm very proud of how far we have come in such a small space of time. We have educated ourselves on every aspect of weddings, but are still open to learning more. Every day is a school day after all!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take the time to find exactly what you want. DON'T SETTLE!! Anything to do with your wedding HAS to be right. You're going to have this day once, and the last thing any couple deserve is to look back wishing they'd have done this or that instead. Your day should be everything you both want. and nothing less.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Every time I have seen it, I've been reduced to tears. BUT, I love photographs of those family members who are no longer with us. I've seen it done in so many ways, but each one is a beautiful way of having those people there.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Ok, so usually couples will contact me and tell me the number of guests they are having, the design they like and which parts of the 'suite' they want. I then provide a quote with an invoice to be paid. Once that is done I receive the details and get to work! From that point it usually takes 4 weeks to get the finished product to the couple.
What is the most important piece of stationery for a wedding and why?
The invitation. When your guest pulls that paper from its trusty envelope they instantly get an impression or an idea of what to expect from your wedding. They know the colour scheme (and so they should know what colour NOT to wear!), how formal it will be...everything. I personally think that invitations in particular should be in keeping with your wedding, and that's what we aim to provide.
What is your best seller?
The 'Gray' suite. It has a modern take on traditional calligraphy, alongside clean, crisp design which is a total winner. Perfect for a couple that have personality!
How do you add romance to any wedding stationery you do?
We slow dance in the kitchen before we design a new suite to get us in the mood.
