FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Most memorable - creating bespoke jewellery for a new customer as well as the whole bridal party - and then being invited to the wedding! How amazing is that as I didn’t even know the couple prior to being contacted. We’ve kept in touch via social media as I do with many of my brides.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Unique, chic, luxury, quality, value for money

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the many pieces I have created for each customer as well as my ready to wear collections that I have also created.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy the run up to the wedding and don’t get too stressed - it all works out in the end!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I like to build a relationship with my customers and always send a wedding card to each couple (if I have the address)

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I will ‘meet’ the couple either at my studio or online. This can be done by email, Skype or even FaceTime. I like to get to know the couple and what their personal style is. For example - minimalist and practical. Or any inspirations for designs. This allows me to then think about design options - whether it be for a ring, a pendant or even a kilt pin. There is no rush at this stage so I’ll allow the couple to take time after the meeting. By a series of email, phone calls I can then send over my drawings/quotes and only then do I request a deposit.

What are your favourite wedding traditions for rings?

I love to create unique rings and the idea that these are presented a a special tray or pillow prior to the ceremony is so special.

What is the most romantic engraving you have seen on a wedding ring?

I created a gold wedding band for a couple who had been together for 25 years but had never married. The ring was not traditional but was from one of my collections called ‘My Luv is..’ inspired by the Robert Burns poem - My Luv is like a red red rose’. The ring was engraved with ‘My Luv is..’ on the inside.

Which ring do you think holds most significance for a bride?

I believe that the wedding ring is the most significant as it represents the promises made and is symbolic of the never ending circle of Live and life.

What is your favourite proposal story?

My favourite proposal story was when I was asked to create a very unusual wedding ring. The couple regularly visited a hotel in the Italian lakes and I created the skyline of the mountain view. The couple had not intended to be married but the groom to be wanted to surprise her. I was invited with my husband to meet the couple in ‘House for an Art Lover’ restaurant in Glasgow (A Charles Rennie MacIntosh building). She had no idea why we were meeting up but I had already created jewellery previously. She had to try the ringnon with her eyes closed too! She said yes and they were married in a tiny church in the mountains near Milan. I’m still in touch.
