What is your most memorable wedding?
Is it rude to say mine? My husband and I went to Vegas and got married in the Drive Through at the Little White Chapel. We got the giggles really badly (and got told off by the minister) and were driven by a New Yorker cab driver, who had never been asked to be a witness at a wedding before on his shift! We've been married for over 20 years now.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Eclectic, unusual, textural, ancient, rich
What about your business are you most proud of?
Building my business whilst remaining faithful to my original vision.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't sweat the small stuff.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Daft pictures of the guests on the table plans
Describe your typical process with a couple.
An initial discussion to find out what they want. Tailoring those desires into ring designs, with consideration given to desired materials, finishes and personalisation.
Measuring, and follow up appointment if needed before giving a quote prior to making the rings. Finished rings may be given by insured delivery, or collected from my studio.
What are your favourite wedding traditions for rings?
I love it when people realise their wedding rings can be whatever they want them to be! I do like a nod to something sentimental, whether it be a secret message engraved, or each ring having a tiny bit of gold from their partner's ring included.
What is the most romantic engraving you have seen on a wedding ring?
'You'll do' - not romantic, but did make me laugh!
Which ring do you think holds most significance for a bride?
It depends on the bride and often how 'right' the engagement ring is!
What is your favourite proposal story?
A man I know asked his now-wife to marry him in their local park. His ring was made imprinted with a leaf they picked up on the walk.
