What is your most memorable wedding?
Wow. I have so many memories of wonderful times with wonderful people! The moments that stand out include a wonderful parading brass band, Mariachi band, a sheep delivering the wedding rings, epic weather storms, guests heart attack (she survived by the way!), suppliers in a car crash (again, they are fine!), crazy weather and difficult guests. None effected the celebration as that's what I'm around for!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative - Experienced - Professional - Honest - Calm
What about your business are you most proud of?
All of my event challenges being overcome but also being a Mummy while building my business. I somehow manage to juggle two little ladies with my lovely business!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Its all starts with the venues. Its the foundation for all the other elements. So much will be influenced such as style, budget, flexibility, atmosphere, professionalism and logistics.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Oooo! That would take up pages! Every wedding has something that I love because I make sure each couple represent themselves in the day. From a quirky invite to a unique favour, something should showcase who you are.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Brief chat (easy way to understand what they are looking for and if I fit the bill!) - then consultations (meet and go through EVERYTHING until I know them and their dream day and iron out all the ideas still to create and elements still to confirm) - the it can be ongoing support, set up assistance and on the day coordination. It all depends on the couple and what they need me to do. I do what they don't want to do and so a package is created around this.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Either a Leopard print themed marquee wedding, fell top ceremony or a sheep to deliver the beer!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Laughter, fun, scenario planning and trust.
What do you love most about your job?
Remember that your expectations are not the same as the guests.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
First dance. Its when all the official elements have been ticked off, everyone has relaxed into the day and you get to see the couple in their most loving moment.
