Treasured Words Celebrant Full Description
Being a celebrant is not a job for me, it is a passion and every couple that I have the pleasure of meeting, I get excited every single time. Listening to how you met and all the funny and loving stories, and memories that unwind as we are chatting With all these ingredients, I then weave into a ceremony script, with perhaps some additional symbolic rituals included, which is great to include other family members. Your wedding ceremony is the most important part of your day, so why should it not be a time that you both have what you want, be able to personalise and include anything that you want. It is your day, so you both should have it your way! xXx

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

All my weddings are memorable, but possibly my wedding with Jaivir and Anne, where I had a bespoke Sari made for me all the way from India, and I read a small part of the script in Punjabi and French.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, Creative, Professional, Personable, Stylish

What about your business are you most proud of?

The creative elements and ideas that I can bring to my couples whether a wedding or vow renewal ceremony.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Create a plan, and always make notes when visiting suppliers

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

From myself, it is the ability to make sure whatever the style or culture of wedding, that I embrace and include these in any way that I can.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

First, we arrange to meet whether this is in person or via a video call, so that I can listen to your visions for your day, and then to advise you of what I can offer to add to make your ceremony unique and personal to you both in my own special way. Once a booking is made, I will guide you every step of the way, making sure that the journey is full of fun and laughter along the way.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?

It has to be for a multi-cultural wedding, where I was asked if I would speak some of the ceremony in French and Punjab, of which I was only too happy to learn and try... apparently I did really well and they understood me!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

. It is all about keeping the couple included and in touch at all times. I always get there on the day at least an hour before so that I can if possible, speak to the Bride and then I mingle with the family and friends, and put the groom or partner at ease so that when the ceremony begins, everyone is familiar with who I am, and the bride is at ease and sees a familiar face when walking down the aisle.

What do you love most about your job?

Always set a budget and stick to it

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

It is when the couple set eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day, then they turn to me, with big smiles on their faces, and I smile back in a reassuring way, to confirm 'we got this!'
