Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Quirky, elegant, warm, honest, fun.
What about your business are you most proud of?
When we get feedback from satisfied couples and guests to say 'That was the best wedding I've ever been to!'
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Communicate. Wedding planning is like a practice run for marriage. Good communication prevents disasters and disagreements emerging so make sure you're both on the same page, particularly for any controversial decisions that might raise a few eyebrows!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Pebble pets - it was an in joke between the bride and groom. They made pebbles with googly eyes and feathers as favours and gave them out to all of their guests. It completely reflected the couple's fun personality and it became a talking point for the day!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Initially I meet with a couple for a chat, to get to know them a bit better and for them to get to know me. If they decide that they'd like me to help with planning their day then we arrange regular meetings to discuss progress and details. I provide reminders for key dates and closer to the day provide weekly and daily updates on progress to ensure the couple are happy with even the finest detail. Of course, every couple is different so we tailor this to what the couple want and need.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
There are two things I do to ensure a stress free wedding. Firstly, I make sure the couple are consulted regularly before the day and that they get a final briefing the day before the wedding to make sure everyone is happy with everything. Secondly, I take charge on the day, coordinating suppliers, dealing with problems, protecting the bride and groom from the chaos so they can relax and enjoy their day.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
The couple dancing out of the ceremony to Morecombe and Wise's Bring Me Sunshine played on a string quartet. This very serious ceremony suddenly went very silly and funny and it had everyone in stitches. It was inspired.
