December 2014 at Voewood in Norfolk. After successfully completing my toastmaster duties I donned my Father Christmas outfit (I work in various Grotto's in Norfolk) and distributed gifts from the Bride & Bridegroom to all their guests.
Friendly, Informal, diplomatic, efficient, fun.
The reputation I have built with other wedding suppliers and many of the happy couples I have had the honour of serving.
Timing of events throughout the day and having someone take responsibility for running everything to time is the key. You can relax and thoroughly enjoy the occasion - this is why you need a toastmaster!
The favours for each guest were a book that pertained to their particular interests.
Once a booking is confirmed we have an initial meeting to discuss their plans for the day. I advise on the order and timing of events. I am then available 24/7 should they need more advice before we have a final meeting to dot the i's and cross the t's a month before the day. I am of course available throughout the wedding day to make sure all runs smoothly and iron out any last minute problems.
There are unusual features about most weddings. Every wedding may seem the same but each one is unique. The family were unsure how to give out the favours which would take up to much space on the tables. This is when I suggested completing the day as Father Christmas to give the favours (a book) to each guest.
This is my role as toastmaster. I ensure that everything happens when it should and relieve the Bride & Bridegroom (and mother of the bride) of the pressure and stress of the day so that they can relax and enjoy themselves.
Making the Bride & Bridegroom's day!
When the bridesmaid caught the bouquet and her partner came over and proposed. They then booked me for their wedding the following year.
