What is the difference between a Wedding Planner and a Wedding Coordinator?
Wedding Planner: Think of a planner as your long-term partner in crime. They:
- Help you from the very start (budget, venues, suppliers, styling, timelines, the whole shebang).
- Source and manage suppliers.
- Create design concepts and guide the look and feel.
- Keep you on track with admin, deadlines, payments.
- Problem solve all the way up to the day.
- Often attend site visits, liaise with everyone, and basically steer the ship.
They’re with you for months, sometimes a year or more. A planner is your project manager, stylist, logistics guru, and occasional therapist.
A coordinator comes in much later, usually 4–8 weeks before the wedding. They:
- Gather all the info you’ve already planned.
- Create a detailed on-the-day schedule.
- Liaise with your already-booked suppliers to confirm logistics.
- Run the wedding day itself: set up, manage timings, handle any curveballs, keep everyone calm.
They don’t plan the wedding. You do. They just make sure what you’ve designed actually happens smoothly.

I have planned and delivered weddings and events for the last 8 years. It is down to spending most of my career in the Hospitality Industry that I have the level experience and attention to detail.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be afraid to be a little different or to push the boundaries of 'tradition'.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I have the ethos that every couple should get exactly what want they want. I love to capture each couple's unique personalities and help share their story.
