Oskar - Luxury Wedding Planning

It's a challenge to write a comprehensive review for Oskar, because he did so much for us to create our dream wedding! We initially met with Oskar back in January to begin planning for our wedding in July. Planning our Edinburgh wedding from Canada (with a 5 hour time difference) came with a number of challenges - but Oskar met all of them with calm confidence and efficiency! We had numerous planning sessions over Zoom, where Oskar patiently listened to all of our ideas and concerns. When we visited Edinburgh in February, we had the pleasure of meeting him in person and we knew it would be an absolute joy to have him there with us on our wedding day. Oskar was able to recommend many wonderful vendors that we used; our florist (Spiral Flowers), cake maker (Jill's cakes), photographer (Geebz photography), and wedding car (Edinburgh Classic Wedding Cards), and all of them were truly fantastic! Oskar was able to help coordinate every aspect of the wedding for us - which included a week of activities for our out of town guests ahead of the wedding. Oskar is exceptionally organized, readily available for any questions, open to ideas but also willing to share his wisdom. He can keep sight of both the big vision and the most minute detail. On the day of our wedding, Oskar arrived in plenty time to help us get ready, to set up the reception dinner and to field any questions from our guests. He helped us feel calm ahead of the ceremony and kept everything running smoothly - we didn't have to think about anything other than enjoying ourselves. I know it was a lot of running around for him, yet he was always smiling! Our guests loved him as much as we do! Thank you so much Oskar - we will be forever grateful to you for making our day go so smoothly and for all the amazing memories of it that we'll have!

Oskar was absolutely amazing! He helped us through and through, went above and beyond! He was full of suggestions and ideas and attentive to the smallest details. He fully taylored our ceremony to our requirements, including gathering background information about us and sharing it with the guests, consulting the script with us and suggestes incorporating traditions from three different countries: bride's, groom's, as well as Scottish. He also conducted our ceremony in two languages! We couldn't be happier!

I got in touch with Oskar after a relative struggled to find a celebrant to conduct her wedding ceremony on Hogmanay. Oskar agreed to do the wedding (even though he was meant to be off!) and we are all so glad he did!! Oskar delivered a flawless ceremony- just the right amount of sentiment, emotion and humour, he kept the timings just right, making sure no one got too cold or miserable sitting outside for a lengthy ceremony on a Scottish December day. This man is literally so friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing is ever too much trouble. If I ever decide to ditch the hubby and remarry (and I might) then Oskar will be my first choice of celebrant!!

He is not only an exceptionally talented professional but also a very kind human being. And he is a humanist too! Our wedding ceremony was tailored to us, to include a few light hearted jokes, special elements and specific texts. We were given a choice of vows and nothing was a bother! Plus he made us both feel better on the day! Just overall a wonderful human.

Oskar is truth in advertising – he IS the wedding guru and came through and then some on every front for us. We are Americans and were planning a micro wedding in Scotland the day after Christmas and knew that although it would be very intimate, we wanted a full experience and memories for a lifetime. From our very first meeting, I knew he was the right person to partner with and he completely delivered the most wonderful, exquisite day we could have imagined. From our wishes and vision to new ideas to special surprises and his complete and total focus on helping us the day of, he exceeded our expectations. Oskar has a gift in that we never felt stressed or concerned about planning an overseas wedding – I knew he had every detail covered and he brought together a world-class team of professionals to support the day. My husband and our children enjoyed his company so much and, in the months leading up to the wedding, his guidance, communication, and help meant we could relax and be in the moment once the day arrived. He even went the extra mile over the Christmas holidays to pick up flowers and our marriage certificate for us – talk about service! I truly can’t say enough about Oskar as he was a tremendous resource, partner, and friend through it all and the day was executed flawlessly because of him. I give him an unqualified recommendation for ANY wedding needs you may have and truly hate that it’s all over, because working with him was a joy. You are nuts if you don’t hire him! My wife and I were unsure about whether we should get a wedding planner, but hiring Oskar was easily the best decision we made. Even though we'd already booked almost all of our suppliers at the time, his help was invaluable, especially as we were planning a wedding hundreds of miles away. He knew all the right questions to ask when we met with our venue and catering teams, which he was more than happy to attend with us, and had ideas we'd never even thought about. We also had two suppliers cancel, including our transport just two weeks before, but Oskar was able to advise us and help us find a brilliant alternative. We'd have been lost without him (and had a long walk!) On the day, he never stopped and made sure everything ran on time and smoothly, and we cannot thank him enough.

100% Recommend!! Arranging a wedding from the heart of Texas was quite the undertaking, but Oskar made all the decision making process easy and efficient. He's a wonderful communicator, is a wealth of knowledge or traditional and non traditional wedding ideas, and his vendor relationships love working with him (we loved them too!). He made our fairy tale wedding come to life and our guest are STILL talking about it weeks later.... If you are planning a wedding, book Oskar ASAP! We are so glad we did!
