I’m Amy, I’m a journalist, radio producer and podcaster turned celebrant.
Every person and every ceremony is different and I’m here to help your vision become a reality. From our first conversation, consider me the guide to your expression of love.
Know how you feel but not how to say it? I’m here to help. Want to find a way to involve your fur baby? Let’s train a dog to do a back flip. Star Wars themed wedding? Consider me your Yoda.
I’m here for every step. If you don’t know exactly what you want, let’s work together to build the ceremony that feels right.
What you get:
- An initial 'get to know you' meeting, this can be in person or virtual depending on your availability and normally takes around thirty minutes. This where we bring your vision to life and hammer out logistics. We can also chat about any additional rituals or 'moments' that you would like and how to make your day completely unique.
- Designing and writing your bespoke ceremony and any redrafts.
- Assistance with vow writing and expressions of love and redrafts (I'm on hand to help you any way I can!)
- Conducting the ceremony and liaising with relevant parties, such as venue staff
- Decorative keepsake copy of your script
- I can also attend a run through of the wedding at the venue if requested (small additional fee)
As a newly qualified celebrant, I'm currently offering an introductory rate for ceremonies in 2027. My diary is officially open!
Experience
Are your ceremonies legally binding?
A celebrant‑led ceremony gives you the freedom to get married wherever and whenever you want, but the legal marriage paperwork still needs to be completed separately.
Here’s how it works:
- You book a simple legal registration at your local register office before or on the day.
- Arrange for the registrar to attend your venue before the ceremony for a private signing.
- You complete the statutory declarations and sign the marriage schedule.
- Once that’s done, you’re legally married — and free to enjoy your personalised celebrant ceremony whenever and wherever you choose.
I’m always happy to guide you through the process, explain the steps, and help you feel confident about what needs to happen and when.
Can you help us write our vows?
Writing vows can feel like trying to bottle lightning. Don’t worry - I’ve got you. I’ll guide you through the process with prompts, examples, and gentle coaching so your vows sound like you, not a template.
Whether you want them poetic, playful, or powerfully simple, I’ll help you shape words that feel true and land beautifully on the day.
Dreading speaking in public? As a voice trained newsreader and radio producer I can share some top tips for sounding great to give you an extra boost of confidence.
Can you guide the rest of the day too?
Guiding a wedding day can feel a bit like herding cats! So, if you'd also like me to help get everyone from A to B, I'm more than happy to help.
If you'd like me to conduct additional services such as acting as 'Master (or Mistress I suppose) of Ceremonies' feel free to ask!
Do you do ceremonies at a private residence?
Absolutely! The idea behind hiring a celebrant for your wedding, vow renewal or elopement is that it gives you complete freedom as to where you have your celebration.
Some of the most wonderful events are those that take place in the comfort of your own home, garden or in a beautiful rented property.
I can also help you plan some of the logistical challenges that come with planning your event.
Will you travel for a ceremony?
If you've found the perfect venue further afield, who am I to say no! A longer drive is an excellent excuse to roll out my 80s power ballad Spotify playlist!
I'm based in Norwich and do not charge a travel fee for anywhere within 25 miles. For trips further afield, a 55p per mile rate applies.
