Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Heidi
Hi there! I set up Speechy after witnessing far too many cringe-worthy, clichéd and - worst of all - forgettable wedding speeches. Our team are BBC-trained writers, directors and producers who've worked on shows such as Have I Got News For You and Dead Ringers. We think all wedding speeches should have humour at their core and we love helping our clients tell their unique stories without resorting to Googled gags. We've won awards for our writing - exploit our telly talent!

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What about your business are you most proud of?

We don't assume people will be sticking to tradition and we strive to make our templates inclusive. We love seeing a line-up shake-up and we particularly enjoy working with two grooms or two brides who are going to be giving a speech to each other.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Keep a sense of humour. Sure, marriage is serious, but weddings should be fun!

How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?

Preparation is key - once you've written your speech, practice it in front of someone. The cat if needs be. Then practice it with less cues. Standing on your head drinking a glass of water. Ok perhaps not that, but you'll definitely give a better performance if you know your best lines!

What do you love most about your job?

Don't take anything too seriously. Sure, getting married is a serious business, but weddings should be fun!

What is your favourite moment at a wedding?

Obviously we're biased, but we truly believe speeches are the epicentre of the wedding day. It's the moment where everyone you care about laughs together and raises a toast.
