What I Love Most About Being a Wedding Celebrant
What I love most about being a wedding celebrant is witnessing that moment when everything stops—and two people look each other in the eye and promise to walk through life together. It’s powerful, joyful, and completely personal. No two love stories are the same, and I never tire of hearing how couples met, what they’ve overcome, what they’re building together. It’s a privilege to turn that into a ceremony that’s truly theirs.
I love creating space for laughter, happy tears, and quiet meaning. Whether it’s a barefoot handfasting in a forest or a full steampunk celebration in a castle, I’m there to help shape a ceremony that reflects who they are—not just on the day, but deep down.
What stays with me most is the feeling after the ceremony, when couples say, “That was so us.” That’s what it’s all about. Not just saying the words, but feeling them—surrounded by love, witnessed by their people, and knowing that their moment was held with care, humour, and heart.
