Jenny - During my time at South Lodge Hotel, I ran the wedding of the senior wedding coordinator. It was on the same day as William and Kate and although I'd run hundreds of weddings before, I needed to get this right for obvious reasons professionally, not to mention that personally we'd become good friends too (no pressure!) Thankfully the day went very well and the B&G and their guests really enjoyed themselves.
Tina - My most challenging and memorable wedding to date has been with a couple on a very tight budget of £1000. It required a lot of creative thinking, DIY and favours from industry friends. The day itself was beautiful, relaxed and fun!
Professional, methodical, friendly, attentive and discreet
Our relationship with clients and industry colleagues
Start as far in advance as you can to ensure you get the best venue/s and suppliers for your chosen date as these will usually be booked way in advance
The Egyptian Bride was Marrying an Irish Groom - the table plan was in Arabic as well as English
We like to sit down with a couple and get to know them, their likes and dislikes and ask them a large set of questions covering all aspects of the wedding - including wants, absolute must-haves and of course budgets - only then will we set about proposing the services we deem appropriate for each couple's special day.
Both Tina and Jenny believe in the Marriage, not just the wedding day and believe in steering our couples toward what’s right for them in both the long and short term
A 3 day festival wedding in a field
Planning, contingency planning,, healthy lifestyle and a loyal and trusted support network
The reward of a B&G thanking you at the end of the day, when all your hard work has paid off
The Speeches! It doesn't matter how well you have come to know your client, there will always be beautiful and funny stories in the speeches. It's also beautiful to see how proud the family and friends are of the B&G.
