What does a celebrant actually do?
As your celebrant, I create and deliver a completely bespoke wedding ceremony — written from scratch to tell your love story in your own words and style. It’s personal, meaningful, and full of heart (with a few smiles along the way!).
Are you legally authorised to marry us?
Not yet in England and Wales — you’ll still need to complete the legal registration at a registry office. Most couples do this a few days before or after, saving their real ceremony — the emotional one — for their celebrant-led day.
Can we include religious or cultural elements?
Absolutely! Your ceremony can be as spiritual, symbolic, or secular as you wish. Handfasting, unity candles, readings, music, and family traditions can all be woven in beautifully.
How far do you travel?
I’m based in Hampshire but happily travel to surrounding counties and beyond. Travel within Hampshire is included, and I’ll give a clear quote for any additional mileage or overnight stays.
Can we write our own vows?
Yes — and I can help! Whether you’d like to write them from scratch or adapt existing wording, I’ll guide you through the process and make sure they flow perfectly on the day.
What’s the difference between your packages?
Each package offers a different level of customisation and support — from the simple and elegant Bronze Package, to the fully bespoke Platinum Package that includes personal story interviews, symbolic rituals, and rehearsal options.
Do you offer rehearsals?
Yes, depending on your package choice. A rehearsal helps calm nerves, check timings, and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
What if we don’t know where to start?
That’s completely fine! Most couples don’t. I’ll guide you through everything — from structure and readings to tone and vows — making it stress-free and enjoyable from start to finish.
How long does the ceremony last?
Most of my ceremonies last between 20 and 30 minutes, but the length is entirely up to you. Every moment is crafted around your story, pace, and preferences.
How do we book you?
Once you’ve chosen your package, I’ll send a simple booking form and deposit details to secure your date. From there, we begin shaping your story into a ceremony you’ll never forget.
