Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm a fun-loving and down-to-earth celebrant based in Bolton.
I love working with couples to help you create the wedding day you have been dreaming of. I'm happy to have a quick, no-obligation introductory call, to get a feel for what you are looking for and to make sure I'm right for you. Once a booking has been made, we'll have a more detailed meeting (online or face-to-face) to work out your full requirements for the ceremony, followed up with couple's questionnaires to help me add more fun and interest. I will script your ceremony, which can be as traditional or as quirky as you like, and include any other special people, fur babies or other elements that you wish to include. Your ceremony script is with you in good time, so that we can make any revisions we need to and make sure it's perfect for you. I am always available over phone or email if you have any queries in-between. I can help with vows or any other symbolic or special additions that you want. I only take one booking per day so that I can be there to help the day run smoothly and ensure that all your guests, and you of course, are super happy and well looked after.
When booking, I ask couples to pay a non-refundable booking fee within 14 days to secure the date with the balance due no later than 45 days before the ceremony date.
Ceremonies can take place anywhere, it does not need to be a registered premises. However, as celebrant-led weddings are not currently legal in England, you would also need to arrange a basic civil ceremony at your local registry office to make your marriage legal.

Tell me a bit about you
I'm Lisa, born and bred in Bolton. Having followed a number of different career paths in life, I decided to enter the world of celebrancy to pull together my love of people, connections, writing and making people smile. I have a lovely blended family that I enjoy spending time with as well as partaking in a nice glass of wine (or two) and good food. I love music, going to gigs and strumming away (adequately) on my guitar at home. Travel is a huge passion of mine, as are foreign languages. I can speak Spanish, French and Japanese, to varying degrees of fluency, and spent 2 and a half years living in Japan in my younger years. I love long walks in our beautiful countryside and also enjoy a spot of weightlifting.

If you are looking for a celebrant that is down-to-earth, genuine and inclusive, then you've come to the right place. I'm a typical Lancashire lass: friendly, open and with a good sense of humour. I'm someone without airs and graces who doesn't take life too seriously but cares deeply about making people happy.
What if we have no clue about what kind of ceremony we'd like?
That's absolutely fine. We'll chat through the kinds of things that you like and dislike to make sure that the ceremony reflects you and your personalities. I am always happy to give you ideas and guidance so that you end up with the wedding ceremony that you may not have even known you wanted.
Can we write our own vows?
Of course you can. However, if you don't know where to start, I can give you plenty of ideas or a structure to work to...or even do some versions for you that you can adapt to suit you.
Are celebrant-led weddings legal?
