What is your most memorable wedding?
#BlesSten2018 wedding that we did in May 2018, probably has something to do with us being the bride and groom of the wedding :)...
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Suave, Beautiful, Elegant, Vibrant, Fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
The proudest moment thus far was the launch of our Book - Do You Really Need a Wedding Planner, African & Caribbean Edition. We've received amazing feedback about the book helping couples making an informed decision on whether they'd want/need a WP for their wedding.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't be afraid to ask for help!
There are many myths surrounding the wedding industry, one being that getting help somehow makes you relinquish control over your wedding. It can't be further from the truth. A Wedding Planner, for example, is traditionally tasked with ensuring that the wishes of the couple is fulfilled on their terms and to enhance the ability to get things done more efficiently. This is well explained in our book :) (Shameless promo, I know).
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The coordination between the couple and their parents, where the bride had a coordinated colour with the groom's parents and the groom had a coordinated colour with the bride's parents, Wonderful!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We start with an S&B complimentary consultation, which is a relaxed sit down with the couple to talk about the wedding and them as a couple. We believe that it's important to learn about the couple, being the soul of the wedding which will help with the vision that the couple has for their wedding. Building a professional bond from the start is vital as we're going to spend a significant amount of time working closely together. After the consultation, we would move to the second stage which is the plan of action for the wedding process. The couple will be presented with a detailed proposal that will help outline the spine of the wedding structure, the means of communication and any other special requirements needed. The next stages after this varies from couple to couple, that's a very simplistic way to describe the process.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Constant communication and clear step by step action plans. We believe that the biggest stress factor is when you can't see how a wedding is progressing. This is why we work as a 24/7 service, where we provide communication at any time of the day (yes even after midnight if needed). We also have tools to provide a well-detailed action plan and will keep you updated throughout the process.
What do you love most about your job?
Read a wedding planning article or book. It just so happens that we have published our own book called: Do You Really Need a Wedding Planner, African & Caribbean Edition. You can find it on Amazon. :)
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
It has to be... You May Now Kiss The Bride.... and the church says, AMEN.
