What is your most memorable wedding?
Has to be my own. It was just perfect from start to finish. I didn’t know it was possible to smile that much. I was on a high all day and just loved being a bride.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, fun, personal, entertaining and memorable
What about your business are you most proud of?
That I started my own business and that I am able to help couples create their perfect day, especially as I know how wonderful that feels.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be organised. If everything is done before the day then you really can just enjoy yourself and focus on your wedding.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
For me, it is having the love story in the ceremony as it is unique to the couple and won’t be the same as anyone else’s wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We will first have a meeting (either video call or face to face) and discuss what sort of day you want, some of the logistics and get to know each other. During the process, I will be in regular contact with you (I tend to have a WhatsApp group) and will send ideas your way. I will probably speak to you both on a 1:1 basis as well to find out what you love about each other. Once I have written the ceremony, I send it to you and edit accordingly. I can help with your vows if needed or can make suggestions for readings, poems or music if required. I can explain techniques that work to create a smooth and slick looking ceremony. If you wanted to involve your children, other family members or even pets, I will choreograph this into your ceremony too.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
Nothing too unusual. Lots of dogs for ring bearers and a Harry Potter theme. No one has asked me to dress up yet… that could be fun.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
I work with you to make sure your day is special. I arrive in plenty of time and can help to just make sure those final few touches are done. I only do one ceremony a day so I am there as long as you need me. You’ve already done the work so now you can just enjoy the day.
What do you love most about your job?
I don't think there is anything about my job I don't love. From start to finish I enjoy it and I love it more after every ceremony I do. It is sad saying goodbye to people you have gotten to know but it is always lovely when you hear from a previous couple, especially if it is to conduct a ceremony for the next milestone in their life...I do baby naming's too!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
When you first announce the newly married couple. There is always a rush of excitement.
