What is your most memorable wedding?
The vintage coach carrying the guests broke down just outside Moreton-in-the-Marsh.
A relay of tractors, police cars, lorries and lovely locals ferried guests to the venue.
The plan went out of the window and the bride and groom stood outside cheering their guests arrival.
The ceremony was a riotous scream and I had a ball conducting it!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Stylish, fun, inclusive, relevant, bespoke
What about your business are you most proud of?
That I am part of couples special day. I'm privileged.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't lose sight of the fun!
If your getting stressed, your overthinking it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
So many! But my best was the grooms men taking over the grand piano when the bride and groom were posing for photos at the certificate signing. They led all the guests in a rousing rendition of Hey Jude. The Bride and Groom loved it and everyone sang their hearts out. It was so good the Bride asked everyone to carry on as she and the groom made their exit from the ceremony room. Magic!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Couples contact me at the very start of the planning process.
I talk with them over the phone and then if we hit it off we arrange a meeting or Skype/Facetime for a Ceremony Fact-Find, so I can get to know them.
I can advise and recommend and offer ceremony inspiration if needed.
I then go and create a script.
I'm always contactable for changes or additions.
I'm available for ceremony rehearsals or just a pre ceremony Skype run through.
I'm there on the day to soothe nerves and deliver a great ceremony!
I always send my couples the script by email so they have it for posterity and they also have a signed commemorative certificate from the day.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
A ceremony at the bar of a very local boozer. Why not?!
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
I'm stress free! It rubs off on people!
I talk to people normally and am a great trouble shooter.
What do you love most about your job?
Don't stress the small stuff. Nobody really cares about the colour of the chair covers!
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
The small hiccups and couples falling over words or messing up promises! The laughter makes everyone relax and gives the couple a chance to release all that nervous energy!
