My own. We got married on Lizard Island, Australia. There were only two of us but the Celebrant made it such fun. It was so easy and comfortable. She gave us a love locket as our unity symbol. My husband locked the locket and then she told him to throw it into the sand. Trouble was she didn't say how far. We wouldn't have found it even if we wanted to. This is what a wedding ceremony should be about - fun and relaxing.
Relaxed, easy to deal with, thoughtful, creative, innovative
I started my business in March 2020, probably one of the most difficult times to get a business going. I also created my own website from scratch. A steep learning curve.
Take your time in choosing a Celebrant. You must feel at ease with them and able to build a rapport. They need to be able to listen to what you would like. Only offering suggestions when needed.
Handfasting - a truly symbolic ceremony.
Get to know them, face to face if possible. Otherwise by Facetime/Skype. Listen to their thoughts and ideas. Getting to know their background, families and personalities. How they met, how long before they got engaged. What was the proposal, where and when. What would they most like from the wedding ceremony.
By having a check list and double checking it. Ensuring if anyone has a reading or poem to do they know when they say it. Have they learnt it or do they wish me to hand a copy of the reading/poem to them.
It will all fall into place - don't worry. Just go slowly and tick things off as you go. There is nearly always a solution.
When the couple exchange their vows which are so personal and mean a great deal.
