So many fab weddings - they are all amazing and memorable in their own way.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Genuine, nosey, kooky, kind and fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
It's just me to a tee! What you see is what you get. No airs, no graces, just Rachel!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Fairy lights!!! Lots of fairy lights everywhere!!!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my Brides walked down the aisle with a picture of her father (who had sadly passed away) held in her bouquet. She made sure her Dad walked her down the aisle! Beautiful
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Lots of meetings. I like to meet up lots and lots and really get to know my couples so that on the big day it is more like a friend marrying them. First meeting is usually to discuss the structure of the ceremony, symbolic elements, readings etc. The second meeting is the nitty gritty - when you met, where you met, when you knew you had fallen in love, how the proposal went and things you want for the future. The third meeting is usually at the venue and a wee run through of who stands where and timings etc to make the couple feel at ease.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
I love a Halloween wedding. Let's dress up and get kooky.
How do you ensure a stress-free wedding?
Planning, meetings and gin.....just kidding. Just getting to know everyone inside out so we can roll with anything that might arise on the day!
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to know everyone involved in your wedding. So it feels like it's you and a bunch of friends putting it all together.
What is your favourite moment at a wedding?
Easily the moment they see their Bride for the first time.......it gets me everytime!
