There are few moments in life more profound than standing before the people you love most and choosing one another, publicly and wholeheartedly. Elissa creates deeply personal ceremonies that feel emotionally rich, effortlessly elegant, and unmistakably reflective of the couple at the centre of them.
Thoughtfully written and entirely bespoke, her ceremonies are designed to make guests and her couples laugh unexpectedly, tear up quietly, and leave feeling they have witnessed something rare: a love story told with visceral honesty, nudging each other like “This is so them.”
Working closely with each couple, Elissa weaves together the nuances of their relationship, their shared history, family dynamics, culture, humour, values, friendships, and promises for the future, creating a ceremony that feels both intimate and cinematic in equal measure.
With a background as an artist and songwriter, she can also incorporate live musical elements into the ceremony itself: from a stripped-back vocal moment to the subtle inclusion of originally written lyrics or meaningful songs that hold significance for the couple.

What does a wedding celebrant do?
A wedding celebrant designs and leads a ceremony that is entirely personal to you – no templates, no scripts, no rules unless you want them.
As your wedding celebrant, I take time to get to know you, listen to your story, and write a bespoke ceremony that reflects who you are, how you love, and what matters most to you. On the day, I lead the ceremony with calm, warmth and confidence — holding the space so you can be fully present.
Are celebrant led wedding legal in the UK?
At present, celebrant-led weddings are not legally binding in England and Wales. So most of my couples choose to complete the legal formalities separately — either before or after their ceremony — at a registry office.
Ask for a simple “2×2” appointment, which completes the legal formalities, giving you complete freedom to create the ceremony you actually want, without restrictions on wording, location or structure. I’m very happy to guide you through how all of this works.
Do you officiate LGBTQ+ weddings?
Absolutely. I proudly celebrate everybody’s love.
Are you trained to be a celebrant
Yes! I got fantastic training from the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, and am fully accredited.
What is the process of woking with you?
Whether it’s a wedding or naming ceremony, the process is fully collaborative.
We begin with a relaxed conversation, followed by deeper listening and storytelling. I then write your ceremony from scratch, you have the chance to review and refine it, and on the day I lead the ceremony so you can relax and enjoy your moment.
No rushing. No copy-and-paste. No pressure.
What is your bespoke songwriting offer?
Occasionally, my work extends beyond ceremony writing into songwriting. Alongside celebrancy, I have spent many years writing, recording and performing original music – a background that continues to inform this part of my work.
Through an artist-led commission, I create an original song to crystallise the moment you wish to celebrate and mark.
